A: Yes. I usually just break the seal a bit by putting my finger between the fridge and the rubber seal around, careful not to damage the rubber strip. Opens easily.
A: Yes, it is misstated.
Q: How do you change the setting from freezer setting to the refrigerator setting?
A: I did a little reset and then found a button on the screen that allowed the change. I then set the temperature I wanted (37 deg F).
Q: Has anyone heard freezer make loud humming sound for about 5-6 second after door is closed?
A: Yes. The fridge/freeezer places the itself in a negative air pressure mode to ensure proper door seal. That's why it's harder to open it right after it's closed.
Q: Can the door on this freezer be reversed?
A: We looked into it and found that it cannot due to the circuitry of the door.
A: I own both of these. The stainless steel one 17 cu. ft or use as a refrigerator in the white upright 21 cu.ft as a freezer. This stainless steel model is a better quality as far as interior shelving is glass and higher quality materials versus the upright white has wire racks and not quite as nice inside. That would be my guess as why the stainless steel version cost more for less cubic feet
A: The hinges are on the right side and the door handle is on the left. These cannot be changed.
Q: do refrig magnets work on this finish?
A: If no one has answered yet, yes. They did on mine.
