A: To turn off the voice announcement on an Insignia 2.0 soundbar, press and hold the Mute button on the soundbar remote for approximately 8 seconds. The soundbar LED should blink red 3 times, indicating the voice prompts are disabled.
Q: How is this mounted to a wall? What is used to secure it?
A: There are 2 small, flat U-shaped brackets that screw into the wall. The brackets also have a rounded U-shaped slot at the top. For lack of a better term, you wind up installing a protruding washer (included) onto the back-side of the soundbar with a machined bolt that then vertically slides down into the bracket slot. I was skeptical but it worked good enough for me. I did not install into a stud as the width is predetermined and wouldn't align for me. For stud installation, you would also need to supply your own, longer screws. I did not measure but the brackets are probably between 26"-28" on centers which wouldn't align with any typical framing anyway. Your other wall mount option would be to buy L-shaped brackets that "hold" the soundbar. The only screws for mounting are on the back, not the bottom. I also considered buying special soundbar mounts ($20 on Amazon) to attach and mount below the TV but ultimately settled on what you see.
A: Press and hold the mute button on the soundbar remote for 8 seconds.
A: Spec sheet on this website says it comes with an hdmi cable
Q: Can I use computer speakers for my insignia tv.
A: Hi Donnak, Thank you for your question. Yes, most computer speakers can work with an Insignia TV, but compatibility depends on the specific speaker model and the audio outputs on your TV. For the best performance, we recommend checking with our dedicated support team to confirm compatibility. The Insignia 2.0‑Channel Soundbar is also a great option, as it’s designed to deliver better audio quality for TVs. A: Yes. Plug Roku OR DVD player to the NON-Arc HDMI and the soundbar to the ARC HDMI and it works great. This is how I have it set up on my 39-in non-smart Insignia TV.
Q: Can I mount this to tv instead of the wall?
A: Yes mine is on a pedestal with shelves. Works very well but be careful of the universal mount, because the mounting points are very very low on the TV.
Q: Does it have a stand alone battery? Use without being plugged in?
A: No, It does not

Love the soundbar! I recently bought a 32” Insignia Fire TV for my garage but the speakers were way too weak. This quickly solved that problem by essentially doubling my volume output with much better sound quality as well. It easily paired with the TV via Bluetooth. I was skeptical about the wall mounts, but they worked well. They are flat U-shaped brackets that screw into the wall and then the soundbar hangs from it. I didn’t think it would be sturdy, but it seems fine. I do have to use the remote to turn it on every time as it goes into power conservation mode when not in use. Not that big of a deal as I keep that one right next to the one for the TV, but a different function from a higher-end brand I have elsewhere. Overall, I’m very happy with the sound quality, output, and price point (on sale) for my intended usage.

Was looking for a soundbar at a good value and tumbled upon this one. It was on sale and I purchased it. It was the same company brand as my television so it connected really well through HDMI and Bluetooth. It sounds pretty awesome and has a good range. If you’re in the market to buy a good reliable soundbar that won’t hurt the wallet I would recommend it.
