I bought this umbrella specifically for overseas travel to a huge family reunion. I did not want to risk breaking my more expensive light modifiers. This umbrella was not too small for group pictures. Nor was it too large to pack in my luggage. I used the bare white umbrella to soften the family portraits. And I also used the silver/black cover for more dramatic lighting with a eye toward fashion. For the price, I did not expect it to be of durable material. So it came as no surprise that the umbrella bent soon as it fell to the floor. But it's hey, I could still shoot through it, and it's definitely better than either nothing or a small light modifier to light a huge group. This is a practical starter kit for budget-minded beginning strobes who are just learning about off-camera lighting.

For the price and what I use it for, it is a great value. I would not use this on a paid shoot, but really nice umbrella for the price and for being used as 'disposable'. I will buy again after I ruin my current one which has been holding up quite well for my abuse.

This umbrella is made well. However may not be durable enough for pro photographers on location. For the price its a good umbrella though. This is a backup in my kit.

I was traveling and needed to grab an umbrella for a shoot. This was the only available umbrella so I decided to give it a try. It does very well photographically and I love the ability to change the fabric. My only complaint is that taking the black backing off to make it a shoot-through umbrella requires taking caps off of all the umbrella spokes. I would like to see a better way to do this.

This is a good starter umbrella, for you to use and see if you like the effect of umbrellas versus soft boxes, diffusers, etc. Would I use it for a paid shoot? Probably not. Too small and not that high quality. But for the causal photo around the house or family portraits, it’s sufficient.

I use these with my SB 700 speedlight. They are a nice modifier. They can be used to diffuse or reflect the light. Quick and easy to convert from one to the other. Appears to be a well made product.

I love that these are so inexpensive, and they work so well… My have a bunch of them, you never know if there's going to be an accident…

The umbrella with its multiple layers makes a good reflective and transmissive flash diffuser. The resulting light can be easily adjusted to achieve the desired soft or hard profile.

This was a good value while on promotion at BestBuy. It’s kinda crazy how much stuff like this costs when intended for photography.

This umbrella has two options, it can be used as a reflector, and also do a shoot through. Material seem to be of good quality. Not a big one in terms of size, but does the job.
