Insignia™ - 35W Dual USB-C Port Wall Charger - White

Awesome buy! This dual charger for my Apple Watch and IPhone saved me space. Instead of using an outlet for each item, this did the trick. I checked several online places for something like this. They were helpful and it was on sale!

This is just what i was looking for. When I travel, I have my iPhone and IPad. I was looking for something to minimize what I needed to bring with me. This helped me downsize amd still have what I need.

I bought the Insignia 35W Dual USB-C Wall Charger thinking it was just a basic inexpensive charger. Instead, I am now dealing with what appears to be hundreds of dollars, potentially close to $1,000, in damage to two laptops. Before the laptops failed, I had already noticed strange charging behavior with other devices. My iPhone and ASUS ROG phone would repeatedly connect and disconnect from charging while using this brick. I tried different USB-C cables, so the charger itself remained the common denominator. My Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 was also powered from this charger shortly before it developed a complete no-start condition. It will act like it recognizes power because the charging light comes on, but when I try to turn it on, it only flashes its indicator lights and dies. Then came the part that really convinced me something was seriously wrong. I connected my CHUWI FreeBook to this charger. The laptop had been functioning normally beforehand. The instant I plugged it into the charger, the computer went completely black and died. It now behaves exactly like the Lenovo: it recognizes external power, briefly flashes an indicator when I press the power button, and will not start. Dead as bricks. because of a cheap charger. Neither laptop recovered when switched back to their normal chargers. I have since stopped using this Insignia charger completely and am keeping it available for inspection/testing because I am now stuck in the incredibly frustrating process of trying to determine how to get the resulting property damage diagnosed and paid for. A cheap charger failing is one thing. A cheap charger potentially turning into hundreds or nearly a thousand dollars worth of destroyed electronics is something entirely different. I'm now dealing with repair shops, Best Buy support, a property damage claim, documentation, and trying to prove ownership and value of devices that worked before being connected to this product. I've also found other customer complaints describing concerning behavior with similar chargers, including excessive heat, sparking, popping, and other electrical problems. At this point I do not care about getting my few dollars back for the charger. that money is useless and pointless, The charger itself is the cheapest part of this entire situation. I care about the two laptops sitting dead in front of me and figuring out who is going to pay for the damage. For a device whose entire job is to safely provide power to electronics, that is unacceptable.

New usb-c to usb-c iPhone cables require new charging blocks. This fits the bill.
