Fit plenty of beer in your man cave with this Insignia two-tap kegerator. It can handle up to two types of beer so that you can offer guests a choice, or you can have a much larger unit of a single beer for quantity. A stainless steel finish keeps this Insignia two-tap kegerator looking clean wherever it's placed.
Q: Is this model incompatible with Miller and Coors kegs?
A: I have a 1/4 keg of Miller Lite and a 1/6th size keg of a local craft in my Insignia dual tap kegerator. It will take one 1/4 keg but not two of that size.
Q: Will a 1/4 barrel, a 1/6 barrel and the CO2 all fit inside?
A: Yes, they will. Attached is an image from the manual that shows what will fit. Two 1/4 kegs won't fit, but a 1/4 with a 1/6 should. I usually have two 1/6 in mine. I have the CO2 on the outside, but it should fit inside with a 1/4 and a 1/6. Hope this helps!
A: I plan to use it for this and will have an Inkbird temperature control unit for fermenting. Plug the refrigerator power into the Inkbird and it will kick on the refrigerator until it reaches your desired temp. Once it does it cuts power to the refrigerator until it exceeds that temp again. Advanced Inkbirds have two outlets for both a heating pad and the refrigerator. On my current refrigerator the Inkbird kept my lager fermenting at 55F +/- 1F perfectly. Then when not fermenting I'll just use the refrigerator as designed.
A: You can just replace the coupler for a bigger one. Actually for comercial kegs with a d coupler a never seem a different size. But you can take your couple to any brewing store and they definitely will have a replacement for it if it’s the case.
Q: Can you run with just one keg connected and turn off gas to tap not in use?
A: No. However, it is very straightforward to remove the second tap from the gas line if you plan to generally run with just a single keg. You can also leave an empty keg hooked up.
A: It can hold a 1/4 slim and a 1/6 at the same time...hope this helps
Q: Is the tower 2.5" or 3" in diameter?
A: The tower is 3 inches diameter, and stands 13 inches tall from the mounting flange. Made of steel with a satin black finish and a chrome top cap. Also has a chrome escutcheon at the base.
A: I have not had any issues with the finish being scratched but haven’t done anything to cause that problem yet.
