The Insignia 6ft Cat8 Ultra High Speed Ethernet Cable is surely a mouthful of a name, but the ethernet cable is a winner. Well made with a thick sheath covering, the Insignia ethernet cable operates under the latest manufacturing standards of CAT8 functionality. Of course, that means the internet provider would need to provide services on that standard for maximum capacity of speed and functionality. It is at least good to know that the capacity for such a standard is within this ethernet cable. Providing a potential of 40 Gpbs. Back to this Insignia ethernet cable's construction. The 6ft length makes it ideal to use in most every application. The thickness of the shielding is always important in products carrying data and sound. This cable performs flawlessly. The connectors and release pin are well made. The release pin is easily accessible and as such it is easy to disconnect when in tight quarters as you often are with tv/internet/ computer cables. The sheath on the release pin has a protective cover to protect it. That is important to me because Ive had release pins break making disconnection a difficult task. The fit of the 'plug' is tight and firm. Again speaking to the quality of construction. The Insignia brand has always performed well for me and does so again with this ethernet cable. I immediately put it to use and I am very satisfied with the results.

The Insignia version of the High-Speed Ethernet Cable feels quite well made as first impression as taking out from the package. It is thick and can see it can does mean to its 40Gbps data speed, and can shield from interferences. For the review connected directly internet gateway to a wifi router, which would cover space of 2,000sq +. Basically for home usage for streaming and gaming at any spot at home, while simultaneously working and other tasks online. The result is more stable and consistent across devices for all of the experience but this is in the context of internet service 1GIG speed to the gateway. Hence can’t test the full capability of the cable, but does seem to affect in term of stability and continuity of data that is noticeably if it is paid attention comparing between cable connectors. To aggregate a bit to the context, the WiFi Router and Gateway have in between also other transmitter and within an enclosed location. Hence the type of cable does seems to be a variable in such installed scenario. In overall does work as intended based on the limited test though. And I liked its sturdiness

High speed Internet is always a plus. These days s simple connection like a correct category Ethernet wire is an absolute need. Old cat 5 or cat 5E with long runs end up being a bottle neck to your home network even though you may have 2.5 GBE, 5 GBE, or 10 GBE equipment. So cable is super thick. That means good insulation to protect from interference. Also end connectors have shielding as well. If you don't know about Shielding. You should read up on it. It make a difference with high speed cables. Also if using this cable to transmit video or audio. It causes fuzzy or noise in the audio. Like humming. Connectors also fit nice and snug so losing connection is minimized from loose connections. So I tested using my 1GBE switch and it pretty much hit it with no issues. I then but the bullet and upgraded my switch to a 10 GBE switch to prepare for future tech. Unused this cable to plug into my 10 GBE port on my access point router and it lit up giving me full 10 GBE. So no complaints here. If you are looking for a high speed cable to connect your equipment. Look no further.

Even though network cables get very little thought or love from the public at large. It is pretty much essential for most people to know they need a good one to get all the internet or data traffic you are paying for. Overall this Insignia Cat 8 cable is a great ethernet cable that allows maximum speed for today and hopefully tomorrow. I got the cable to go from my modem to my router and did not see any loss in speed from the little one included with modem, note my speeds are still sub gigabit. The cable is about as thick as a typical orange 16 gauge extension cord. Enough flexibility to bend where you need it, but also stiff enough if you need to feed it through a hard to reach opening. The ends look to be gold plated, but I did not see it documented to be true gold. The ends plugged in very secure at the modem and router ports. And like any premium cable, you get good covers over the release pins. I have nothing to complain about in the weeks of use so far. It is the first link in the chain of all internet traffic at my house.

I normally build my own cat 6 cables. But I had one that got damaged and I was out of heads. Figured might as well pick this up since I was able to get it dirt cheap. It works really well. I generally try not to use pre built cables but since I was in a pinch I figured why not. It's been really stable on my PC and I am considering swapping out some of my other cables to these to help with better connectivity and stability.

Great for high speed wired connections over longer distances. Stable, low latency, and ideal for gaming or streaming setups. Plug it in and forget WiFi issues.

We were having trouble with our live streaming services so added an extender and this Ethernet cable to solve our problem. The cable was the right length and has eliminated any issues with watching live streaming events. Price was good too!

These are quality build and improve speed greatly especially in high interference areas.

best, highest quality ethernet cable. figured it was a better option than the more basic option, its good to have one that can keep up with optimal speeds.

I use this to connect to my mobile hotspot and it’s like I’m hardwired in at the house. You shouldn’t skimp on your cables. Cables matter! As a mobile DJ, I can tell you from experience, cheap cables will fail you sooner than you expect. I’m very happy with this cable.
I was having signal drops. After I installed this, no more signal drops. Great quality cord

Works great . I was having connection problems randomly and this fixed it

Good build quality for the cable itself, rather use ethernet all day than rely on Wi-Fi for important equipment.

I upgraded my Ethernet cable to this one and tested the speed and there was an instant difference in speed compared to an older cable. Highly recommend if you aren’t getting the speeds your isp says you should be getting. Great price too as always with insignia products.

Obviously I needed an ethernet cable, but what I did not expect was the speed to be way more than what I thought it could be. More than advertised. Will buy another!
