We purchased this freezer in March, 2020 because of the Coronavirus crisis. We knew we didn't have enough freezer space in our existing side by side refrigerator/freezer to store a lot of food, and happily, we found this Insignia freezer during our internet search. We love it! It is the perfect size for our needs. It is upright - so organizing food is easy, holds lots of food, has a sufficient number of shelves which are nice and deep, and is super quiet. We live in an apartment, and this additional freezer is located in our living room where we watch tv. You never hear this freezer, except for occasionally when its thermostat clicks it on to keep it at temperature, but even then, it is very quiet. The only negative is there is no door handle - you have to open the door at the top where there is a lip to grab onto. The suction on the door is very tight, so you do have to tug a little when opening. We think the price was reasonable for the quality of this product, and Best Buy delivered it in a timely fashion. Highly recommend, if you need additional freezer space.

This Is The Perfect Additional Freezer. I Have Been Wanting an Extra Freezer For The Garage and COVID Helped us purchasing this a little sooner than planned. It's the perfect size for the garage as well, I didn't want a full size freezer because we were limited in space. It's very quiet, holds the temp perfectly, The Door Seals Great. You Actually have to give it a little tug more than normal to open it. We are going to fill it up this weekend. The Price Was Below The Competition, Lots of Great Reviews Now Some Bad, But Not a Deal Breaker. When I Unboxed It It Had a Few Dents on It. One Dent On The Lower Front and The Other Dent On The Upper Back. If I was keeping this Freezer inside the House I would have asked for another one. I'm keeping it in the Garage and it works Great so why not keep it. The box was in perfect condition so I would think it happened before it was originally put in the box. Who Knows. Not a deal breaker for me.

This is a great freezer. I have it turned all the way up and my thermometer is reading as low as it gets which is -20 (minus 20 degrees) When you close the door a strong vacuum socks the door closed tight. It is hard to open. There was a bit of an issue with things sliding off the shelves, but with some cheap Walmart containers the problem is solved. See pictures. The containers also gave me much more storage. I upgraded from a chest freezer since it was very hard to find stuff in the chest freezer and things were lost. This it better in many ways. It is so inexpensive and has such a small footprint, that if you decide you need more room you can just buy two and stand them up next to each other. This would also give you some redundancy in case one may fail. I highly recommend this freezer.

Was going to buy a small chest freezer like the one that I had for 10 years. but found this stand up at a unbelievable price. Have had it about a month now. The reason I went with this most of all is the fact it’s a stand up unit and fits in my kitchen beside the fridge . Some complain that it dies shortly after purchase. 2-3 months. But what I noticed is that in the ones with pictures is the owners have turned the dial all the way up. DO NOT do that on a mechanical dial freezer. It will run non stop in that setting. You will burn the motor out on the compressor. I left mine set just where it was on the day I purchased it. Look at my pictures to see where mine is set. And it freezes just fine. It does not need to be set at maximum setting. we had a 24 lbs turkey in it for thanksgiving. And it will hold a 1/4 cow. But that will be the limit on what a 7 cubic foot freezer will hold.

I considered buying a small upright freezer in December of 2019 From another retailer but decided against it because we didn’t have an ideal place for it in our small kitchen. However, by the time we decided we really needed one of these upright freezers In April 2020, every retailer online was sold out of these units. Finding this Insignia 7 cu. foot Upright Freezer at Best Buy made me feel like I’d won the lottery. The price was reasonable and Best Buy delivered it within a couple of weeks which I thought was fast. The unit is sturdy, roomy and comes with glass shelves. I am shocked at how quiet this freezer is and how well we were able to integrate it into our small kitchen. Having this freezer has made me feel more secure about our household food supply right now.

For now the freezer is working fine and no complaints and is better to the chest freezers ,can organize and look what you have easily . The size is perfect for small places and good capacity, no loud noise when is working and no frost( if the door is completely sealed)

I purchased my freezer so that I would be able to capture grocery store sales for times that traditionally could have a long/longer shelf life; since the price of food has greatly increased and shows no signs of coming down. Plus my 1st freezer is starting to show signs of gracefully aging. I really do not have the extra space for 2nd freezer! Yes this is my 2nd freezer! However, my family can not eat furniture, so I decided to remove a chair from my home, make some rearranging of other furniture so that I could have a space to place my new 2nd freezer. I love it for another reason and that is because now I can label my shelves and be more organized in where and how to freeze my frozen foods in both freezers. It can be a mess when trying to find a frozen item and you do not know where you placed the item. I will have one row marked for bacon, another row for chicken, another row for beef, etc. I like to be organized, makes my life much easier. As far as the quality of the freezer, I was so afraid to order a freezer because most of the reviews are bad. One of my neighbors ordered an upright freezer and it was delivered up-side-down! Could not believe it! She quickly sent it back in fear of it malfunctioning down the road and she wondered how the delivery men were so careless to hand le and deliver her freezer up-side-down. I must say that when Best Buy delivery men delivered my freezer, I can be a witness to say that they handled it well, delivered it right-side-up. They asked before the delivered it would I like it out of the box or delivered inside the box. Once in my home, they asked where did I want it placed and they placed it exactly where I wanted it to be stationed. There were not dents or scratches on the freezer, no signs of damage at all. I feel worry free about it, although I have it under warranty. How you handle a freezer prior to delivering the freezer is so critical to the life of the freezer. I chose to purchase my freezer at Best Buy because of how it was explained to me how they carefully handle their refrigerators and also I am a Total Tech Member so I feel worry free about the horrible stores that are posted online about the upright freezers and from my visual delivery observations. Today is 7/23/24 and I have now had my new upright freezer for nearly a month now, and I can say that I am very happy with my purchase at Best Buy, so glad I purchased from there. I was able to sit both of my upright freezers next to each other in my kitchen area (just an adjustment of the new freezer sitting some in my dinning room area), Awesome! Also my salesman, was so patient and nice to me during the purchasing process, as I actually ordered three (3) of the upright freezers; one for two (2) of my best friends who paid my back, as all of us were looking to buy an upright freezer at the same time. We are all three (3) happy with our upright freezer purchases. Not one of us have had anything negative to say about our upright freezers, all three (3) are working well. Thanks Best Buy for delivering a great product!

I was looking for a chest freezer but decided to go with the upright model to better organize my frozen foods and the Insignia 7 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Upright Freezer did not disappoint at all. Freezer was easy to setup with well written instructions. Build quality is very solid and has exceeded my expectations. I did look at the reviews prior to buying and I will address somethings. I noticed that some buyers had their freezer die rather quickly and I've had mine for over two months with no issues. I will say that this freezer does get extremely cold even on less than half setting. So to increase the longevity of your freezer there is no need to keep it on high as it will burn out faster. Another thing that seemed to bother me but I got used to was how tight the suction is on the door. Its not so easy to just open the door and usually the fridge moves with it. Instead we hold the freezer with one hand while opening the door with the other and it seems to be fine for us. Someone with less strength in their hands may have an issue with this. Overall 5/5 with no issues and great bang for your buck and I highly recommend.

I researched for weeks before purchasing I was looking for a small upright freezer They were either too small or too big this was the perfect size. All the other brands had bad reviews saying it wasn't cold enough so I went with my gut and purchase this one and I am extremely happy with it came preset so I left it because if I needed to I could adjust I haven't had a change as since it's perfect freezes all the food was absolutely no problem.I would recommend I also did leave it up right for 24 hours before plugging in just to be safe Even though the delivery guy said I could plug it in right away. I should mention I do have a small deep freezer it just wasn't working for me because Because you have to pull out so much to see what you have on the bottom there's freezer if it's everything that was in there and some!

Great value for money. It's probably smaller than most people would like, but the price-per-cubic-foot is incredible, especially if you get it on sale and/or an open box unit like we did. The upright form factor is less efficient than a chest freezer, but it's much easier to see and rearrange the contents. The only downsides are relatively minor: the top shelf is so small that it's nearly impractical, and a unit like this designed for dark garages and basements needs an interior light. But overall, it's a fantastic choice.

Amazing freezer! We bought this back in January to store breastmilk since I have an oversupply. It has held its temperature, it’s a lot more spacious than it seems, it’s super quiet, and we haven’t had a single issue! Would definitely purchase again if we needed another freezer and 10/10 recommend. It is a great price for a really good deep freezer. The ice build up wasn’t all that bad either. We still haven’t needed to turn it off and drain anything.

Bought this freezer in early November, 2020 .. ordered at Best Buy in Conway.. had it delivered (for free) at the house.. delivery guys were quick and careful .. staff at store were very helpful .. good price and great freezer.. chose the upright 7 cu ft for ease in getting items out. From day one the freezer got COLD quickly (stays around 6 degrees at medium setting). love having the extra freezer space and allows us to buy bulk items or items on sale that we couldn't before.. unit runs quietly, takes up minimal space.. we love it .. hoping we get many years from it

So skeptical of buying expensive insignia products every since I spent 350 on an air conditioner that didn’t last a year but I was desperate for a freezer and this one was the only one in stock so I had no choice. Had this freezer for about 3 months and it has so far been a great investment. It really freezers everything... solid within a few hours. I take my meet out of the packaging so I can get more in and I must admit, it holds a lot. I have 5hams and a pork shoulder in there with a ton of other food. It’s a little over five feet but it holds a lot. Also beware, The shelves are glass

I have to say this is a great little upright freezer. I would have given it 5 stars but since it arrived damaged and its hard to get a hold of the customer service department I just couldn't do it. It's the perfect size for our 2 person family. I originally ordered a chest freezer since I couldn't find an upright that was available. I went on Best Buy website one night just to see and sure enough the upright was available. I cancelled the chest freezer and ordered this immediately. I'm so much happier having an upright. But I'm not happy that it arrived damaged. Best Buy gave me the option to try it out for 15 days....I called prior to the 15 day period and they didn't have one to replace it with. So needless to say I'm still waiting for a replacement but this will work in the meantime. I hope that the replacement isn't damaged. I'm afraid that over time the damage will cause issues with the gasket and it sealing properly. But overall I'm really happy. It is super spacious and it holds a lot of stuff. I would for sure recommend to a friend. The 2 delivery guys were great! Followed the CDC guidelines, sprayed everything down with a cleaner and were super nice.

This product fits perfectly in my narrow storage space and gave me ample freezer space. The shelves are sturdy glass and help for a more organized freezer. It works great even in a non-airconditioned shed and does not have any difficulties even in the summer heat (100+).

Oh My Goodness! We had previously bought a no-name 4cu.ft. chest type freezer. Lasted less than a year & little help from the other guys. So we spent a little more, but still very reasonable, and WE LOVE THIS! Allows you to organize and see what you have! fits wonderfully in house. Very quiet. I keep a freezer thermometer inside and it holds temp perfectly. Highly Recommend!

It is the perfect size for my garage and doesn't take up too much space. It is also surprisingly quiet and efficient - I hardly ever hear it running. I love the easy to use temperature controls, so I can dial in just the right temperature for my food. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this freezer to anyone looking for a compact, and efficient.

I have loved everything about this freezer so far! Great size so it fits in my home office easily. It also has great spacing between the shelves. The only downside has been that the racks taper a bit in width from the front to the back of them, so things I planned on fitting exactly don’t. It’s not a huge taper, but the front half of the shelf is wider than the back half, so if you’re hoping for something to fit exactly from side to side take that into account. Freezes well, super quiet and works great!

Such a tiny upright freezer, such a bargain for the money. I love this freezer because it is a perfect size for one little ol' lady. Three small negatives: no door shelves, no light, and the door sticks from the suction. But again for $388, the unit is a bargain!
