A: This cable works with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S5. It also works with the Amazon Fire tablets. It will not work with the Samsung S9. Hope this helps.

A: Yes you can, but I'd also recommend using a play and charge kit as well. So you can charge while it's plugged in, and continue to use it unplugged as well for several hours. Either way, leaving it plugged in will work just fine. I just recommend the kit fo if you jostle the cable, it won't shut off the controller.
