This case doesn't fully cover the 3DS XL 100% since it slides unto the front leaving the top exposed, and then the back covers as much as possible; but, due to the DS design it has to leave the upper left and right exposed due to the buttons. Overall, it does provide protection as long as the top side doesn't hit the floor. The case is thin, so doesn't add weight or bulk, and it also provides some grip. For those with cool special edition systems, the clear case also allows the design to show, which is nice.

After opening the package I noticed how "murky" it was and how dirty it was. Well after getting home, I used mild warm water and dish detergent and washed it out. Next I used a microfiber cloth and dried the inside and out. Upon final inspection the case was clean and clear. Overall I'm happy with the purchase I've made as it shows off the limited edition 3DS & is slim looking.

Fits the New 3DS XL well and feels great. Doesn’t feel loose but isn’t so tight it’s difficult to get on. It adds size but still fits in the insignia case that’s just big enough for the console. It’s much easier to grip than the base console and doesn’t seem to absorb the oil from your hands like other silicon/rubber cases. I’ve had it for several months and it hasn’t started to yellow or brown but that may happen in the future as it is a clear case. Overall it’s fantastic for the price feels good and provides the right amount of protection.

I got the Solgaleo/Lunala Pokemon *new* 3DS and wanted a case for it, saw this and figured it was a hard plastic case, which would've been fine, keeps the console from getting scratched on the decorative faces of it. I was wrong, and was glad to be wrong. It's a semi-soft case with a rubbery feel, very grippy. The only bad thing about that is, I feel it'll probably yellow over time, but it'll probably be a few years before then. Still a great investment for $20, and I'd buy another one in a few years if I had to.

I got this to protect my new limited *new* pikachu 3ds XL. It fits really well. It's soft and flexible to prevent cracking. It's clear, so i can still display the graphic on the system. The only issue is that it makes the system to thick to place in the charging cradle designed for the *new* 3ds XL line of systems. It is easy to remove and replace though. So it's okay.

As an "older" gamer, I really like this case. - Excellent quality! - Fits very well - Lightweight - Clear finish allows the true case color to show - Texture is perfect (not too hard, soft, or slippery) - Protects as much of the surface as possible (some upper hinge areas aren't protected but that can't be helped due to 3DS design) - The button and slot cutouts are just the right size to allow easy access without needing fingernails One thing I would recommend is to remove and clean it once every few months with warm soapy water as the inner surface (next the the console) tends to get a film on it.

The clear case fits great , lets you see the 3DS XL, and provides protection from scratches and dings.

This is a clear plastic cover that fits tightly over your Nintendo 3DSXL. I had purchased one of these for my 9 yr old daughter & she has dropped her 3DSXL numerous times and it has definitely done its job in protecting the equipment. Got another 3DSXL & cant risk dropping it without this case. It also fits perfectly in the hard Nintendo 3DSXL Case with no problems.

I got this case to protect my 3DS XL. I’d gotten one before that was clear hard plastic with a Pikachu design on it. That case was awesome looking but cracked when the DS fell & got shut in the car door but the case still protected it. This was a replacement case. No designs on it and this time the case is flexible and a softer feeling plastic. Not as snug fitting as the old clear case but with some squeezing it went on fine and stays put. The plastic feels rubbery and looks a bit cloudy. It’s still transparent enough to see a design on your 3DS cover but not fine details. It can get smudgy too but I am more concerned with protection with less bulk than appearances. It does the job, but the old cases looked way better. I ended up salvaging the old Pikachu case with some super glue so now Use this case for the kid’s 3DS. In a perfect world, this case would be less cloudy with a nice design on it. It’s too thick to call it a skin but just a bit thinner than my old case. $20 felt expensive. The old case I had gotten on sale for $12, which felt more accurate but still spendy for 2 pieces of plastic.

You paranoid about scratching and scuffing your New 3DS XL? Sure you are. Why wouldn’t you be? This case keeps the thing reasonably well protected. And it’s soft and helps you grip the thing a bit better. You like a good grip, right? Of course you do. This adds a little bit of bulk, which is too bad. You like a little bulk in your pocket, though, I bet. So get this case already!

It is not the best out there but it gets the job done. Will protect from scratches on top and bottom of the New Nintendo 3ds. Of course if you drop it from lets say 15 to 22 ft or so the areas where you might see damage are where the back buttons are and where the hinge part lies. Once on the areas for charging, plugging in headphones or putting in your game are easy to get to. Will not annoy you by being in the way of you trying to charge the NN3ds or trying to use the back buttons. What might prove annoying or uncomfortable for a moment is when using the NN3ds once the covers are on. The extra material will make the NN3ds a bit thicker. Will be noticeable once you start gaming. Will go away because you get used to it and forget the covers are on once you loose yourself in a game. Great choice if you dont want something bulky or if you want the color of your device to be visible.

The plastic is softer than my Pikachu hard case, which was easily scratched and cracked. This case doesn’t scratch as easily and is flexible. The appearance is a bit cloudy but a wipe down with a soft cloth helped. Works great for my accident prone days when I sometimes drop things.

Nice see thru cover to show off my SNES edition 3ds. It looks like it will prevent surface scratches and from minor trauma. I wouldnt expect this to be very effective for big drops. I am happy with this purchase

This case fits perfectly and provides adequate protection from most drops and hits. It is a type of hard silicon, not quite plastic. It is very light and form fitting.

This 3DS XL case comes in two parts and fits great on the case to protect my 3DS XL. It also allows you see your 3DS art, great if you have a special edition. It also does not inhibit movement of any parts of the 3DS xL.

I absolutely love how soft this case is and how it keeps my system clean and pristine. The bonus is that it doesnt hide the design and protects it from scratches.

Picked this clear cover up for my new 3DS XL, takes a bit to get it on the system but fits nicely once it's on. The case is made of a soft and really flexible material that will take an impact well and will not crack the cover or damage the system. Perfect for kids or people that drop stuff all the time. it does add some bulk to the system but not too much and good if you have applied a decal skin to your system and want some protection at the same time as this clear cover is very clear and your decal skin design will show through it.

This is a soft silicone type material to cover the New Nintendo 3DS and it works great! I can't imagine not having it.
