This case is great. It offers perfect cutouts for all your ports its clear plastic is pretty sweet. I am a fan of shells that r see through, to see components of course but here you will just see your black steam deck underneath. Completely protects the body with Insignia's tough hard plastic case. Easy on and off, four clips that snap and connect the front to the back of the case. The bottom is on a swivel. So they stay 2gether and you won't ever lose 1/2 or leave it behind. Also, the secret sauce of this case is its hidden stand. When not in use the stand sits flush on the back middle of this case. 1 thing to note the stand is super delicate if u take good care of it and are aware of it when it's open, you will have a great little stand that leaves literally a half an inch by a half an inch footprint when open and its dialed in to a solid only one angle viewpoint. Yes i would buy again, as I did pick up another case for myself as a backup. Also, you cannot beat it right now it's on sale. But even regular price worth it to keep ur deck safe and always have a stand.

Easy to use peace of mind protection

The case is useful to protect after market skin I put on the deck. However it doesn't feel as good in hand as the deck by itself. It seems durable but I haven't abused it, I keep the deck in a case when not in use.

Decent protective shell that could use improvement

Decent protective cover. Hinges have bad placement, Could have been located in a better position. Buttons more difficult to push since shell is in the way. Still not too bad though.

Was cheap but you get what you pay for. Feels flimsy and not nice but would likely protect your deck if you dropped it, somewhat? Feels like acrylic or something so will get scratched easily. The latch feels like it will break if you use it more than a couple times. Bought one from another brand with a much better latch and what seems to be PE plastic which will survive much longer for not much more money. Got 2 decks so will update this review if possible.

Hard to Beat for the Price

I found it to be an acceptable case to use when bringing the deck outdoors or just out of the house. It's a plastic case that feels rather cheap but should be alright for light drops and scratches.

I purchased this clear case for my limited edition white colored Steam Deck OLED, and it's absolutely perfect. Fits perfectly and keeps my Steam Deck looking clean and free damage. It fits in the case as well and pairs very well with a temper glass cover. Forsure a 5/5 investment.

Nice case
Fits my original steam deck perfectly. Snaps together pretty easily. Only complaint is it makes the buttons a bit harder to use.

Protects the device well from the occasional drop but the hinges on top protrude a bit too much. It’s probably a good idea to own one because one bad drop on the floor with it a case can result in a broken shoulder button which is not a cheap repair. That’s what happened to mine originally.

I bought this shell/protector at a discounted price. It fits surprisingly well. It is clear so barely noticeable to the eye and feels good in my hands. I feel much more confident, sitting it down outside of its protective hard case.

For the price it works pretty well. Not the prettiest or the most sturdy especially at clasps and hinges but works well and fairly comfortable.

Very good looking case which goes well with any skin for your Steamdeck. I have a red skin and it added a shine to it improving its look. It fits very well and so far has been durable. The button holes are accurate but it would've been better if they were slightly wider around the ABXY buttons.

Bulky case. The hinges are big and stick out on the top. Deck won’t fit on dock with this case on.

May block trigger buttons on the edges

Small plastic hinges protrude from the top by about 1/3 cm, otherwise this perfectly covers snd protects the console

B+. A great solution to protect

Very useful to put on Steamdeck when travelling. Keeps it protected and it still fits and closes with no issues in factory case from Valve. It's not covering the screen at all. It doesnt interfere with any existing screen protector either though. It is a little thicker than I expected. Not unusable in case though. I use a seperate controller or mouse and keyboard sometimes though with the steamdeck so its fine for me. For the price I fully advise getting this.

Great little accessory for any Steam Deck owner

Perfect fit, not bulky feeling when playing games with it, and I can still use the inner shell case with it (I have the 1TB OLED version which included the case). The kickstand is excellent, and paired with an inexpensive USB-C hub it's essentially a docking station!
