Just got my Insignia Am/Fm BoomBox Radio... And.."I LOVE IT".. It has Great Sound Very Clear.. I'm Very pleased with it ..Thank You Best Buy

I bought this to replace a clock-radio. I didn't read the entire description and found out after I got home that it has no clock. It does however do everything else it says it's supposed to do. I gave it 3 stars because the sound quality is not the greatest and I am not crazy about the volume function. It does have blue tooth but that's about it. Fortunately it wasn't expensive so maybe this is my lesson that you get what you pay for.

At first everything seemed ok but made cheaply, after a week or so of using it here and there the source button pushed in and won’t come out. So now it’s stuck on cd and nothing can be changed.

Hello Chip,
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I am really sorry to read that you had this experience with your new Boom-box. This is definitely not acceptable behavior. If you still have this and require assistance, feel free to reach out to my team at any time.

This boom box could be the best one on the market if only it had a remote control. I knew it didn't have one because of the reviews I read. What sold me was the great design, it would look good in any home décor. Has a great sound and not too pricey. I have two criticisms however. First, I don't like whip antennas because they easily bend and break. A wire antenna works just as well. Also I wish the volume control was set up like the tuning controls. I don't like the digital volume knob where you have to turn it one quarter inch either way and hold it to increase or decrease the volume. But still it is a great product for the price.

It a good portable or office radio. It has a bit of a quirk in that you usually have to push the power button twice to turn it off/on, but it has nice sound and a good price. Being Compact and lightweight enhances it’s functionality. A worthwhile purchase, and in the age of Apple and Amazon, these are getting rarer. Still there’s a place for something that works nice and doesn’t cost more than $100!

The styling fits nicely between "too-old-fashioned table radio" and "too-techno, too-portable" boom box. The sound is fine for a radio in this class and price range; you won't be impressed, but it is clear and loud enough, with good range. I'm not a heavy streaming music user, but the Bluetooth setup was as easy and functional as it is with any other device. Too be honest, I bought this mostly so that I could listen to the local news and weather while I fixed breakfast before work, and enjoy programs on NPR from my La-Z-Boy on the weekends. It does that just fine. Where it falls down is in the details, the "user experience". I generally have to press the power button 2 or even 3 times to get it to come on (this could be just my unit, but watch for it). The station presets are as easy to program as on any other radio, but there are no numbered buttons to recall them, just a single button that cycles through the stations. Take note that it only goes one way: if you're listening to preset 5 and you want to change to preset 3, you have to press the button at least 8 times: switch from 5 to 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, then start over back at 1, 2, and finally 3. Sometimes when I start that process, from preset 5, the display initially shows that I am on preset 5; other times, the first press reveals preset 1 and I have to start from there. The volume control is a round, knurled knob as you might expect, but it doesn't "rotate" to adjust the volume; you turn it a 1/4-turn to the right or left until it stops, then push it further to "click" and adjust the *digital* volume by one number, up or down. At least setting the time is as simple as it gets: there is no clock. For the price I paid, I was expecting a better design. As it is, it does what I need it to, and looks nice enough doing it, so I've kept it, and I'll put up with the interface quirks. It was just surprising, in this age of fairly uniform electronics control designs, to find these few idiosyncrasies.

Great radio for the price. Sounds good. Can play CD's, radio, or stream with Bluetooth. Easy to figure out. I'm happy with this purchase. Got this for my 9 year old for Christmas. You can plug it into the wall or use C batteries in it. Perfect size. It can fit most anywhere. Has a nice handle on top & a retractable antenna.

I got this boombox for my nephew, and it surprisingly has a nice sound. CD player works great, radio works well, and I'm assuming the Bluetooth works, but my nephew doesn't have a phone yet to connect to it via Bluetooth. However, I'm sure as he gets older he'll be able to use that feature.

I think it’s a very sleek looking CD player Love the fact that it has a USB port to charge your phone or whatever else you need to charge. And also like The fact that it has Bluetooth. The sound is very decent, and like that you can pick from several options of sound (rock, jazz, etc). The reason for my 4 star review, is that it doesn’t come with a remote. That would have been wonderful. Please consider adding a remote for newer generations of this CD player.

Tough to find a simple CD player with good sound. Blue tooth paired easily to iPad. Volume was ok, sleek design nice, sound was fair. I did not like volume button. Instead of a simple turn to adjust volume, you have to click it back and forth, awkward and slow.

1st: I had to get it replaced because the CD playback was skipping. I didnt have one of those CD lense cleaners and nothing else i tried helped. The replacement played CDs flawlessly 2nd: The other functions worked well Audio Quality: Decent for the price. I'm sure it compares with portable speakers. Basically, I got this to function as a speaker for my Chromecast for my home office. Radio: I don't use much, But was able to get reception Bluetooth: Quickly paired with my phone. Audio was good. Aux: paired with the USB port in the back, I am able to connect a ChromeCast to this boombox and have the boombox power the ChromeCast. One less power cable to trip over and a great solution for Spotify streaming. CD playback: I see this as an extra, the replacement plays CDs without issue. Its nice to take out some of my old CDs and pop them into a player.

This radio sounds great. Easy to program / search. Good technology capabilities. The volume level control knob is not easy to use. The knob works on a system that only partially turns...lowering the sound up or down 1 level at a time. The knob is very stiff and sometime does not adjust the level properly.

The CD player is of a nice design and simple to operate. Good sound. Operates as an FM/AM radio as well as a Bluetooth functional. Great price.

It works great for the purpose I wanted it. To be able to listen to a ball game at night OR turn on Books on CD before bed and restart in last location heard next night. Once I figured out how to open the CD tray and which buttons to use. I'm happy with it. Have not tried any thing else, except CD player and radio

We bought this boombox for our kitchen and it's exactly what we expected. The sound quality is fine and we love having the CD player. It's not particularly loud, but in our small house it is enough.

This is a simple CD/Radio player with Bluetooth capability. It sounds quite good. The cd lid could be a tad ‘beefier’, but overall it’s a good player. It’s not very large, and is light weight-which is great.

I'm getting old. i was amazed at how difficult it was trying find the combination of features that I was looking for in a boom box: CD, Radio, and iPod dock. But this unit had something better than a dock--Bluetooth. As a musician obviously the sound quality was very important and I have to say I'm pleased with what I hear. Very clear, not overly bass-y. The four EQ settings offer some variety. The Bluetooth connection takes a while to link, but once it does the quality is great. My only complaint is that the volume control is this weird, spring-loaded knob. Not sure what was wrong with just turning the knob up and down. Other than that it's an excellent buy. Very pleased.

It is a multi function boombox. It comes with an ac power adapter or you can install batteries. It has a cd player and AM/FM radio, Bluetooth and Aux in jack are among some of the features. The sound is decent. I would recommend this to anyone who wants and small multi function music box. I purchase mine at a really good price and it is well worth it.
