Purchased to keep in one place for charging Nintendo 3DS. Really like that my 4 year old grandson whom the 3DS belongs to can easily put it in the charger when needed.

This station makes it easy for my son to charge his 3ds without hunting for a cable that's fallen behind the dresser. It's sleek looking and intuitive. However, we use a protective case on his 3ds and it doesn't fit, so we remove the case when he's at home. Not a huge issue, but convenience has its price

It works! Pros: Doesn't wear out the charging connector Sleek design Easy to use Cons: Extremely light weight to the point of almost falling over Supplied cord is extremely short Not very well balanced (may be a weight issue too)

This cradle will recharge your n3dsxl like a champ. The wire can be disconnected from the dock and connected directly to the unit so you can also play while charging. The only gripe is that when sliding the handheld in, it doesn't "slot-in" a track or something, so it may not make perfect contact (and it won't charge) if you are not careful about its alignment with the contact points (though this is an oversight of Nintendo which didn't design the console to really lock into a cradle)

When presented with the choice to get just a charger for me 3DS XL - or this charger/charging base stand - it was a no-brainer. The product works great - and makes it very easy to charge the unit. There are contacts on the 3DS XL that work with the base - so no plug in / unplug every time you need to charge the unit. I would recommend this to anyone with a 3DS XL.

Purchased this with a 3ds for my daughter for Christmas. It makes it very convenient being able to leave this charger plugged in to where she can just drop her 3ds in it whenever she needs it charged and then can pick it right back up when ready to play again. No need to fumble with cords getting lost or falling behind funiture. Highly recommended!

It works as it should, to recharge my *new* 3DS XL, for less than buying an official power supply, so that I can charge my original 3DS and my *new* 3DS XL, at the same time, for those times when I'm playing games over wi-dim with friends, and need to recharge them both at the same time. However, it is VERY light and does not have a sufficient base to hold it steadily upright, but placing a book or something on the cable, near the charger, itself -- or placing small stones on each side, to stabilize it -- are rather easy fixes that work, anyway. Too bad, because , if it were to work exactly as advertised, it would be great, sitting next to my computer. If you don't stabilize it and sit it SOMEWHAT near the edge of a table, the *new* 3DS XL may tip, slide, and fall off a table. So, make sure to stabilize it, and you're good.

This is a pretty good charger. My N3DSXL fits perfectly and charges just as fast as with the regular charger. It sits on my desk out of the way until I need it. Then I just drop the console in and voilà. Is it a "must have?" No. Is it a convenient way to charge my system? Yes.

This charger station for the 3DS makes things so much easier. Simply put it in the cradle and that's pretty much it. The only thing I wish was different is the length of the power cable -it's way too short, especially if you are looking to put it on a desk. But I am still very happy with it.

Was looking to buy a set that included a case and car charger but after finding this one I had to get it. It can charge on the dock or you can just plug it in, holds the charge for a long time, plus it doesnt look bad just plugged in in our living room.

This is a great charger. It not only charges the 3DS (which is needed since it doesn't come with a charger), it provides a place for the 3DS to live. It stands vertically in the charger instead of having a loose cable to plug in.

Work fine with my New Nintendo 3DS XL. I bought two on sale. I have two New Nintendo 3DS XL (Black and Galaxy). Work just fine with them. I was worry about plug and unplug many times will worn out port. This will help a lot to save time to prevent tear down port over and over time then I don't have to worry anymore. I have Anker Portable Charger PowerCore battery 20100 mAh to give a lot of hours to play any games on my New Nintendo 3DS XL much longer. Anker portable battery work with this just fine with USB cable plug in and feed power to my New Nintendo 3DS XL system. :-)

Tried this for a little over a week, and ended up returning it because it was tricky to get the DS aligned in the cradle correctly. The open ends lead to frequent misalignment, and I worried about scratching my 3DSXL. The official dock works much better as there is a slot that the 3DSXL fits into that surrounds the unit on all sides, insuring the charging inputs line up correctly. The cord was also pretty short, but the dock will work with the standard (and much longer) power cable. Overall, this isn't the worst dock option you have, but if you don't need the included power cord, you're better off spending your money on the official dock. It's about the same price, but does not have a power cable included.

It's very convenient to just drop my 3DS XL onto this dock at home, rather than plug it in. Also nice to have a stationary object rather than have to get out a cable each and every time I want to recharge.

These are made by Best Buy and were marked down to just under $5. I bought two of them. One had a rattle sound in it so I opened it up to ensure it was nothing major broken. (I do not recommend opening anything without checking to see if it will void the warranty) It checked out fine. I just let the loose piece of plastic fall out. I tried them with my New Nintendo 3DS XL before I even opened it and they work well. I knocked off a star because they are not the full length of the New Nintendo 3DS XL so it feels a bit too light when docking. I would recommend as a backup or travel charging dock.

The new 3ds does not come with a charger so I picked this up. To be honest even if it come with a charger I would purchase this item. Super simple to use and completes a charge no problem. Would recommend to anyone

So, I ended up grabbing one of the new 3DS XL systems with the SNES retro skin on it. Brings me back to my childhood! When my 3DS shows up, much to my demise, there is no power cord! Apparently they don't come with one. Surely then, the connector must be a common Micro USB port! NOPE, its some weird Nintendo thing. Thankfully, my local BestBuy had this charging cradle in stock! I was able to order on line and pick up in store in less than an hour and I was up and running and reliving my childhood games same day! Definitely worth it!

Handy little charger. Love the fact that you can unplug the cord from the dock and use it to charge device manually as well. Charged fast and well.

My daughter loves the convienence of this charging stand for her DS. I bought it as a way to help eliminate cords and it does the trick. Keeps everything nice and tidy.

Charger works great on its own. As a cradle, requires me to take my protective shell off the system. a minor nuisance that's more than it's worth.
