I recently purchased this audio splitter to connect our office projector to a sound bar, (projectors made for office duty don’t have any speaker out options, just the built in speaker)turning it into a movie projector, and I couldn't be more pleased. The setup was easy, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. The audio quality is excellent, with clear and powerful sound. I also bought an optical cable to run directly from the splitter to my sound bar, which enhanced the experience. I was worried that using a Roku streaming device might cause issues since it would maybe interrupt the signal split, but it worked amazingly well. The directions were visual, and easy to follow , including specifics for a streaming device. There was no lag! a huge bonus, especially since I experienced lag with other methods. The splitter is solidly built, and the included power cables were a longer length. Overall, this audio splitter has significantly improved our movie nights, and I highly recommend it. Be prepared for cables though! Lots of zigzagging- will have to do some experimenting to get that more efficient.

I'm using this adapter between my 20 year old Onkyo home theater receiver which does not have any HDMI inputs and my Nvidia Shield TV in order to get 5.1 surround sound through the fiber optic audio output. The adapter runs on 5V via micro USB. A wall wart plug in power supply is included. I'm using a short micro USB cable plugging directly into one of the USB ports on the Nvidia Shield TV. Much cheaper option than purchasing a new receiver.

10/10 product. I bought audio extractors that are not actually 4k but this one is. I use this for my elgato and my a40 mixamp and i get gamesound perfectly. (For my playstation streamers)

I bought a PlayStation but I bought a Monitor with that unfortunately. And I had to connect a soundbar which not Sony. This is a Life Saver for me.

This item does exactly what it says it will. It took a DVI signal from my Google Chromecast and converted into an acceptable input form for my old projection TV…. worked perfectly. EZ hook up.

This made it possible to connect extra speakers to my Epson Projector I bought at Best Buy, works perfect.

Perfect for converting older audio receivers to use on the newer devices.

Works well to connect our Amazon Fire stick to our new projector and our old sound system that did not have HDMI input. Occasionally there is a bit of a stutter in the video, but unclear if it is because of the esxtractor.

Makes it easier to play my games and watch shows with sound connections.

Works as advertised! I use it to play my Roku and soundbar to my projector. All I needed was an HDMI and an Opticle cable for the sound.

I've been using a Roku device plugged into a gifted projector that had no audio out nor bluetooth and the sound quality was horrible! Finally found this little device and will be able to keep my current setup. I paired this with a bluetooth receiver and my problem is no more! Product was simple to setup. Plugged the Roku into the HDMI in port, plugged the aux from the bluetooth receiver into the audio out and used another hdmi cable to connect to projector. Even better that I found it near my house in an open box item in excellent condition. SCORE 2 for Best Buy and for Insignia.

Got my PS5 today and forgot that my headset required optical port. Astro makes one that supports 4K@120Hz, but they're sold out everywhere. I came across this one and decided to give it a shot. Worked flawlessly! I'm able to use my $300 Turtle Beach Elite Pro headset without having to purchase a new headset. This will give me some time until Turtle Beach releases a good headset for the PS5.

So if you have the misfortune of trying to use this with a roku 4k express it appears to be the roku. I read online the ultra might work but decided to try Amazon 4k max after reading reviews. The roku wouldnt work with an xbox one. It was still two channel even though the xbox was sending dts or dolby digital. Its not this splitter. Amazon fire 4k max is sending dolby digital now with this now. For you all with older receivers this should work. It's the roku that was causing the issue for me. Hopefully this helps someone. Good luck.

This works as it should. I bought it because the Xbox Series X does not have an optical audio port so my Turtle Beach X800 Elites would not work. For that part, it works flawlessly and sounds great! The only bad part is, ever since I have been using this, sometimes my TV will reboot. I know that sounds weird but it literally started right away. To make matters worse, if I am playing on a gaming console and the TV reboots or for some reason the entire input refreshes, it makes my picture have a blue tint. Turning the TV off and then back on sometimes fixes it but usually I need to reboot the Series X and the TV together. This also happens if I go from the Series X input to another and then back. I am running everything through an Onkyo TX-NR575. Really annoying.
