For some reason, the one area sticks out of the back of the refrigerator and is not flush. I purchased the exact model that fits my fridge, but does not fit exactly. It was installed by a professional, so it’s not a user issue. It works fine, but looks like it’s not the right fit.

Ice maker is ok. But Best Buy’s customer service is terrible. Had a problem with the fridge I got from them. They told me I could get the part in the store. After hours on the phone. They said I can get it at the store. They lied to me more than once. So I got what I needed from Home Depot. They helped and didn’t have to. But they gave me what i needed for FREE. About a 100 dollar in part. Home Depot is great. Will not ever buy anything from Best Buy again. They can’t help you. Customer service is bad.

The install was more difficult than it should have been as the kit was missing some of the screws needed to install. I haven't been able to test how well it functions due to not having water installed yet.

The ice maker does what it’s supposed to do but, after some time the ice gets stuck together and forms into a block of ice. If you don’t mind chiseling ice every day then it shouldn’t be a big deal.

not the greatest but it works slowly making ice, but nice small solid ice cubes Also I do not like the electric plug in at the top . all other ice makers plug in's are at the back of the freezer

Waited 2 years for this to finally be in stock and it doesn't work. The lever doesnt tell you where to put it to create ice. Nor do the instructions. Gonna consider other fridges besides Insignia in the future

The actual ice maker kit that comes in the box is a Midea ice maker kit that is "compatible" with insignia but doesn't have the manual for the actual ice maker kit that comes in the box, but rather the one that should have. I am still waiting for them to send me a manual to understand how the reset and clean buttons work and how does ice maker knows when to stop making ice, or do I have to shut it off manually to stop it. I wouldn't have purchased the refrigerator had I known that I was buying a "compatible" ice maker.

Little tricky to install but overall very satisfied with this ice maker. It took me about 2 hours to install. The plug from the ice maker to the plug on the roof of the freezer was the trickiest part. I kept putting the wrong way because it felt wrong the opposite way. Luckily no this broke and got in. Again overall very satisfied

I bought a brand new refrigerator with a bottom freezer and ice maker. The refrigerator was defective because the seal around the freezer door was defective and not only produced frost but my ice cubes were t cubes. They were 1 big block of ice. Returning was just as bad because signs say FULL REFUND but wouldn't return my full price. So I was out a refrigerator and $49.99 for the ice maker installation plus had to find a new refrigerator. Will never buy anything from Best Buy again.

It seems very slow in making ice. Would hope it would be a little faster. After 8 hours only about 10 ice cubes

Not about the item; was supposed to deliver the refrigerator on the 10th and received a call that they had damaged it when processing to deliver so now it’s tentative to be delivered on the 19th!…not real happy!
