As someone who enjoys 3D printing and is constantly looking for reliable materials for different projects, I recently had the opportunity to use Insignia White PLA filament. After putting it through multiple prints, I wanted to share my experience with its quality, performance, appearance, and overall value. Filament printed great right out the box, I do tend to start printing right away though I do start drying and tend to print and dry at the same time, so usually plenty dry by the time I’m printing any follow ups, the get clear with a filament definitely takes some adjusting to the settings, orientation of the print, infill settings whether going with a vase mode or 100% infill , layer lines are bound to get picked up, anything less and you’ll see infill and possible cloudy result, played around with some test prints and while looking great never really clear, but works for my purposes and certainly strong as expected with petg, mostly made some doll stands for my wife from this roll and they turned out great, she loves them, and has requested more, so I’ll definitely pick up another, and honestly can’t beat the price right now!

Originally purchased this filament for the price only to realize it’s probably the best quality filament at its price point. The print quality and performance behaves much like Polymaker rapid PETG. Once put through a filament dryer it retains its dryness substantially well. I’ve had a roll left out for a few days and it hardly absorbed any moisture (16% to 18%). The spool retains shape well and works with the AMS although I like to add spool rings to reduce cardboard dust. It comes vacuum packed tightly and I’ve yet to get a spool that has lost vacuum. I primarily use a Glacier plate and the finish of my prints is exceptionally smooth. Often time I don’t even need to take the plate out slides out smoothly. To say I’m surprised is an understatement. This has quickly become my go to PETG to have in stock at my house at all times.

I was very happy to see PETG filament at Best Buy, and since white is my go-to, I bought a spool. I don't know if I have had a bad print since exhausting the first spool and being 1/3 through my second. It just works! And while some have said PETG doesn't have a nice surface, I'm quite satisfied with the finish I have gotten on some statuettes and on decorative coins. I'm buying other Insignia PETG as well. Cardboard-sided spool the only negative. Not stopping me from buying more.

What can I say about Insignia PETG filament? It is filament. It is black. It prints things. Against all odds, the label was completely accurate. I’ve been using it with a Bambu Lab printer, and the standard Basic PETG profile in Bambu Studio works perfectly for it. No mysterious tuning ritual, no sacrificing a Benchy to the 3D printing gods, and no spending three hours adjusting temperatures by half a degree while questioning every decision that led you to this hobby. I loaded it, selected the normal PETG settings, and it printed just fine. The filament feeds smoothly, the prints come out looking good, and—this is important—it remains impressively black throughout the entire process. Not dark gray. Not “midnight charcoal.” Black. Exactly as advertised. One small reminder for anyone new to PETG: keep it warm and dry. PETG loves absorbing moisture from the air, and once it does, it can start popping, stringing, and generally behaving like a toddler who missed nap time. A filament dryer or dry box can save you a lot of aggravation, especially if the spool has been sitting out for a while. At the end of the day, it’s difficult to write an epic tale about a spool of plastic, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. Filament has one job: go into the printer and come back out as something more interesting than filament. This does that job. 10/10 — would successfully convert warm, dry black plastic string into slightly more complicated black plastic again.

The filament works great. Slid in easily to my AMS, and prints well. I highly recommend.

We'll be buying all of our filament from Best Buy from now on. Best prices around, incredibly quality, and great selection. The PETG is solid, has had no issues with my P2S. I believe this is a white label product from a known manufacturer, so you shouldn't really have too much trouble using it. I've used around 5 rolls of PETG (white and black) and only hope we get some more colors in the future.

After great luck with Insignia white PETG, I thought I'd try the clear. Still doing experiments but I had a terrific print of an intricate statuette. Very pleased, compared well with other prints in different materials. IMPORTANT: if you want real transparency, you need to tweak your settings heavily. Slicers are oriented almost exclusively towards reliable structural support within the wireframe surface of a model. That will not give a window-like appearance. If that's what you want, I think this filament will work but you will need to have 100% infill, higher nozzle temps and slower speeds. Lots of good advice can be found online.

I saw that Best Buy started carrying their own line of filament so I purchased because the price seemed reasonable and it was available in store locally. The filament comes in a cardboard spool but caused no issues in the AMS and printed great in my Bambu Lab X2D printer. I recommend this filament.

Insignia™ PETG 1.75mm Clear filament offers strong value for cost-conscious users, with reliable performance after initial calibration. Achieving optimal print quality required manual adjustment of slicer parameters, as Bambu Studio’s built-in PETG profiles are generic and lack specific tuning for this filament. Using the base preset as a starting point, the filament performed consistently on the Bambu Lab P1S printer.

Thank you Best Buy for stocking more than just PLA. I purchased several spools and I was impressed with how smooth it printed. Good layer adhesion and nice glossy finish.

Only PETG I’ve used so far. Looks like a good alternative, which Reddit stated is rebranded Polymaker at this time. Product came in a metal non see through vacuum sealed in resealable bag. Cardboard spool that I’ve printed covers for. Spins smoothly on AMS Rollers. Prints came out fine straight of packaging didn’t need any drying from the 7/7 I’ve purchased. So far prints are just accessories for my X2D which came out great.

 great price great product durability is good!! this filament works very well with my 3-D printer. I have been experimenting with many types of filaments from different suppliers. And this filament has really met my needs. I plan to keep using other colors from this same line of filament from insignia. I mainly use PLA and so far I’m very pleased. 

You truly cannot beat the price for the quality! I end up painting what I print myself so I only am looking for material over color. So finding out that Insgnia is pretty much Polymaker and at such a steep discount, this is my only go to until they start making PC more affordable. If you use\enjoy Polymaker, you will want this instead.

I’ve been pleased with this filament so far. It prints very well on the Bambu Lb PETG (non-generic) filament settings, and cooperates with the AMS 2 Pro. Seems to be forgiving with regards to settings, speeds, flow rate, etc. Hard to beat this price, and it’s great to be able to pick it up in many physical locations. This review might say it’s incentivized, because of a $5 promo for writing a review. I was going to write this review anyway, I’m not biased in any way.

I was a little skeptical at the translucent clear, but it ended up printing really well and the item looks really cool. It’s not 100% transfer obviously because of the info and stuff but it’s still really cool to be able to see light through it.

Great print quality. Printed perfectly with good adhesion and surface finish

Great Price, checked the specs and Hexcode and it appears to be pmaker new formula PETG. Great adhesion, but lower glass transition temp than the old formula. Had to lower the temp to 252 or I got heat creep/clog. The finish is nice standard gloss PETG. I recomend this 100% because its great to be able to get great filament locally in stock in a pinch. Polymaker Spool rings fit if you need it for a AMS/CFS.

I've gone thru a bunch of these boxes now and have had minimal failures. I hope they add more colors because there are 2 stores i can go to that are half the distance of the biggest computer store.

After having great luck with the Insignia white PETG, I decided to try black. Still bulletproof, not fussy about moisture. At this price I stock up and know I have what I'll need.
