These speakers work well for general work, listening to YouTube, Hulu, Netfflix, and various games all sound just fine through the speakers. They are not too big and fit well on the desk next to the monitor. I also like the wheel interface that comes with it so you can adjust the volume and bass directly. I tend not to use it much however as I also have a speaker volume wheel on my K70 keyboard and it is closer to me so it makes it easier to use. The subwoofer works fine as well and give you extra base that you wouldn't with just the satellite speakers. For music, they don't do as well. While it is okay, you'll notice the flaws in the speakers more with music. While it's not bad, and with the cost of the unit you shouldn't expect the sound that you would get from something costing 400+. I tend to switch to headphones if I want to listen to any music. Otherwise if you are looking for a set of 2.1 speakers that do not cost too much, these will do the job for you.

I purchased these speakers, not expecting much because of the low price. Wow, was I surprised when I set them up on my PC. They come with a remote for adjusting the sound, plugging in a headset. Also it has a subwoofer. So easy to setup, no software to download. Just plug it in and enjoy the Great Sound !

Good sound, volume control wheel looks cool and has decent bass. For what I paid - really surprised. Careful with the speakers though...very light weight, easy to knock over. One little touch and they're flying. Seriously - what you pay for these its incredible.

I love these speakers. They're perfect for when you want to listen to all of your favorite songs on your phone, tablet, or computer. The bass is also very amazing!

Pros: low price, great sound, looks modern and minimal, connects easily, the wired remote is neat, loud enough for a large space (I have an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining room, and living room together). Cons: The 2 speakers and the wired remote are very lightweight and feel somewhat cheap. The plastic is a little too fake silver color (you can see how the color compares to my turntable, which is also plastic, but is a better color of silver). Also there are a lot of cords, but fortunately I was able to hide them behind the cabinet it's sitting on. Summary: These speakers are really great. I've had them for a few weeks and I like them a lot. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. We have them hooked up to our Audio Technica turntable. I'm very happy with these, and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for good sound at a low price.

Good sound and clarity for the size and price. Bass is alright, but again for the price I can't really complain. Good for music, movies, and streaming videos. It does everything we need it to do and in my opinion, there was no need to buy more expensive ones. The power module has a headphone jack and bass controller, as well as volume, so it's easy to use.

I purchased these speakers, took them home, hooked them up, and found that the right channel did not work. I returned them the next day and had no problems returning the speakers. I used the return credit to purchase ink for my HP Envy 4500 printer. I was surprised that i received no hassle. I am impressed with the return police of BEST BUY.....

Great product for the money. Was surprised with sound quality. Virtually a mini home theater for your PC. Puts out a lot of bass. Small enough bass box to tuck/hide away. A very good buy. Simple install

I purchased this speaker set because of price. They were only about $35. After I got them home I liked the fact that the volume control is totally separate from the speakers and that the volume control also has a jack for headphones. The sound is crystal clear and perfect for computer speakers.

Bought these speakers to replace the terrible sound quality of my old samsung lcd tv. The speakers on the tv must've got damaged from cranking the sound up too high. Anyways I bought these speakers to fix this problem. When I watch tv with these speakers I crank it only a quarter way with a quarter bass in my dorm room and it is just loud enough. No need for fancy surround sound or sound bars. music with these speakers are excellent as well. My only complaint is I wish these came with a wireless remote. Kind of fusturating adjusting the volume when tv stations have different volume settings. But for 30$ these are a nice set of speakers and I also paid the 9$ 2 year geek squad protection plan. If these break I can just buy another set. I'm just praying for these speakers to ware out before 2 years haha. Overall excellent speakers for the price.

My son is using these connected to his laptop for Fortnite and they put out some nice bass for their size. Makes the games sound much better. They look pretty nice as well. I really like the separate volume knob.

To begin, I am no audiophile, so I may not have the best ears for the sound quality. With that being said however, the speaker sounds quite decent to me. Nothing is particularly outstanding, but you get what you pay for. The bass can go up quite high but gets pretty muddy, and the speakers do get decently loud. The volume hub with bass control and headphone output is a nice feature that makes life more convenient. However, the wheel feels very cheap, and doesn't have substantial weight to keep it in place. You might want to secure it somehow, as the weight of the wires will drag it around. The blue LED on the light is also quite bright and distracting at times. Unfortunately, everything seems cheaply made and the wires are very annoying to work with, as nearly everything is attached into place and not modular. This makes cable management a pain. Much like the control wheel, everything feels like it was made out of cheap plastic, so definitely not a premium product. Overall, you get what you pay for, and the sound quality is good for the price. A subwoofer included in this price range is a bonus, but if you don't need the extra bass, spending a similar amount on a pair of tweeters without subwoofers is probably a better use of your money.

Opted for these after testing others in the store. It was a few bucks more for one with the sub but it was worth rounding out the sound. They have a nice modern look and the volume/base control control pod is nice.

A $40 set of speakers gets 5 stars? Yep, it does. While waiting for a part for the Bose Companion 5, I ran to Best Buy to get this set after seeing they were available in-store (on-line!). It is rare to find a set of speakers with the remote features this one has. You can adjust the volume as well as the BASS! That's a biggie even the Bose doesn't have. It also has plug-ins for headphones and an external input. I thought when the Bose got back running I would throw these in a closet until next time. But a month later, they are still on the desk and sounding great.

My old speakers were OK, until they blipped out and the one that kept working was scratchy. I love the separate volume control that I can reach without having to clear my way to the speakers. I even love the little blue light....easy to find. The subwoofer is frosting on the cake, as I wouldn't have thought much about looking for a set with one. It adds the right dimension of sound and base without over powering and fits neatly under my desk out of the way. Very happy with the set.

I needed an affordable set of speakers for my desktop PC, for gaming, watching videos, listening to music, etc. These speakers sound great, look good, and are quite functional. The components are lightweight, but don't feel cheap. My favorite feature is the control pod, which sits nicely on my desktop behind my keyboard. The control pod has a large volume knob (the entire top of the pod), a power switch (and cool blue power light/ring), a separate volume knob which controls the sub woofer volume (allowing you to get just the right amount of bottom-end), a handy headphone jack, and an auxillary input jack (I have not used this yet). The ONLY problem I have found with this speaker set is that, out of the box, the volume knob was a little scratchy. Quickly twisting the knob back and forth several times remedied the problem. I haven't heard any scratchiness since. I would have given this product a 4.5 star rating, but, since that wasn't possible, I rounded it up to 5.

Great starter set, however the cable management is not fun. I like the total set up, however the spaghetti bowl of wires that are needed make an absolute mess of your desk. I do not use these, but purchased them for my kids. The sound is pretty good, and the subwoofer is actually pretty descent. I can hear the walls if they get a little too crazy on youtube or netflix haha... Great for the price if you do not mind the wires.
