Q: Will a 49" Sony 4K HD fit on this stand?
A: My 55" Sony 4K fits . It does extend beyond the edges of the unit by an inch on either side. I can live with that. I needed a smaller sized shelf unit to fit in a corner and this one worked. I would imagine a 49" TV would fit nicely.
A: I bought a 55" LG 4K ready TV but the LG 55" TV I bought had stands/feet that are to close to the end of the TV so it barely fit on this stand but with a little over hang which I was not comfortable with so I wound up wall mounting my TV. The stand is rated up to 95lbs and the LG TV wasn't any where near the weight limit it was just the stands being to far apart/hanging over the edge of the TV stand. I have a 60" LG Plasma that HS the stand in the middle of the TV so that would work for this stand so you might find a different MFG of a 55" TV the might have a centered stand that would work with this stand. Hope this helps
