Simple, works as expected. Reads both, SD and microSD cards and has a much faster transfer rate than I expected. It does get a little toasty, but that's normal given the speeds.

I bought this card reader to upload pics from my Nikon to my HP Spectre. The reader does a good job. Speed is fine. Only complaint is that it is a bit too far for my laptop, so I have to use the cap from the reader to prop up the laptop to relieve pressure on the card reader.

It’s easy to use and gets the job done. You get what you pay for nothing luxurious but still worth your money.

It fits perfect for my needs in transfering photos, music and documents. A 20 in my rating.

It WORKS!! No joke!! Put some images from an SD card into it this afternoon and downloaded images of not one but THREE murderers recorded in my back yard a few nights ago from an infrared night-time trail-camera! I created this video https://youtu.be/y6FkVlK5t64 of the insignia memory card reader I bought from Best buy. This memory card reader works for SD cards. I have used it to copy files from my SD card to my laptop and I have used it to copy files from my laptop to my SD card. I used a SD card adapter in the Insignia memory card reader to copy files to my microSD card inorder to put the files on my cell phone with the microSD card. My computer does not have a SD card slot; so, I bought this memory card reader for that reason. I have only used the SD card slot so far. I have not used the micro SD card slot on the memory card reader yet; so, I just gave it 4 stars.

Came fast! Super compact but perfect for what I need

I’m new to these and was well instructed about how to use it and it worked beautifully.

Several years ago when I received my first digital camera, the value was around $700. Based on that price, I asked the Best Buy associate to show me a $400 camera. I'm still learning how to use this new camera but have already learned that it's by far the best camera I have ever owned. Honestly, I don't think I could ever own a better camera than this!

I really like it works and its very easy to use and is practical.

This is absolutely essential for our drone shoots where frequent data dumps are the norm. Solid construction.

Very inexpensive. This is a small compact USB card reader that works with the SD memory cards I normally use for various tasks. Very easy to use and no problems transferring any photos and/or files from one location to another (in either direction). Couldn't ask for more.

This SD card reader is perfect for what its intended to do: read SD cards, both regular and micro sized. It's decent sized, only slightly bigger than the average USB stick, and it has a cap for when it's being transported. My two complaints is that one: The cap won't attach to the back end like a pen, so it kinda just hangs there. It gets in the way of my other USB slots sometimes. And two: It can't read both a regular and micro SD card at the same time. I realize now that it says that on the package and if I recall, on the online page as well but I'm still a little fussy over it. It's not a huge deal for me, as I don't need it to read more than one at a time most the time. It just would've been a nice feature. I'd still recommend it anyway. It does its job with no issues.

I adore this little thing! Since it is NOT a going trend on these slimmer laptop profiles to have many ports, you are left purchasing adapters and card readers for all your external needs. Hence, this purchase. I purchased this item for my laptop to upload images from my numerous memory cards (as a photographer on the side, I'm regularly uploading images to my laptop). It has truly been a game-changer. It goes everywhere with me. It is small and compact (like a USB) and reads SD and microSD cards well. I haven't had any issues with this little item. It gets the job done! Also, the price point was quite good. I definitely recommend this item!

The memory card reader on my computer no longer would read photo data off of my SD cards. Looked on line at existing card readers. Went to Best Buy to use up accumulated points and was directed to this Insignia. I actually like this model better than the ones I saw on line as they all had USB cables included. Like that this one is a direct plug into the USB port; very compact and had the connectors I needed! Worked great when I used it!!
