Works great, very compact. The lid caps are easy to loose though but no big deal

Works wonders, the two inserts help a lot too considering the multiple ports that I have in use. Alongside the ability for the Micro SD and normal SD’s to be read, it’s a pretty good deal for 20. Reasonably that is. Overall, it’s been reliable and easy to use.

Unfortunately, my new HP computer does not have a slot for camera scanners. This tool worked well and I would buy it again. Takes camera cards and Flash drives. As a professional Artist, I need to use lots of pictures in my Facebook/Instagram messages and my website.

A great, small, easy to use SD reader. It fits in the smallest camera bag, and takes both a regular and a micro SD card. It also can plug into a USB and a USB-C port. Very useful. My only concern is that it seems to be made of brittle plastic. Hopefully, it will last me a while.

This card reader does exactly what it advertises, in a super compact form. It has both USB-C and USB-A connectors depending on your computer. I've used the SD card slot with USB-C and had lightning-fast file transfers of photos. Love how small it is: truly portable.

Checked online to see in stock. Had to ask employees to direct to area. Easy to use and was a good price compared to other options.

I got this so I can plug in my SD card to it and then attach it to my iPhone 15. It’s super convenient so I don’t have to use a computer but I have the option to with the USB plug.

I don’t know how many of these little SD card readers we’ve gone through over the years (probably in the dozens by now), but this is one of the best we’ve come across in quite a while. This Insignia SD/microSD reader stick offers 2x the connectivity and 2x the compatibility ensuring you’ll never to bother with either a USB port changer or a microSD card adapter to get your pictures or files on/off your memory cards! The design is fairly simple with the enclosure clocking in at about the size of a thick pack of chewing gum, with a full-sized SD card slot and a separate microSD card slot on the side, and a USB-A or USB-C connector at either end. Both USB connectors are protected by a snap-on cover, and the covers even stack together so there’s less chance you’ll inadvertently lay the cover down and then lose it--like has happened with so many of our other SD card readers! Operation was plug-and-play with our Chromebook, Windows desktop, and Windows tablets instantly recognizing the memory card we used, regardless of whether we used the USB-A or USB-C connector or the standard SD or microSD card slot. Note however that this reader is single LUN which means it can only present one memory card at a time to the host computer; if you have both card slots filled at the same time, neither card will be recognized. The packaging indicates that the Insignia dual card reader offers up to 95MB/s transfer speed; I ran a series of CrystalDiskMark tests to see just how well Insignia’s claims held up. I started with a SanDisk Extreme 512GB microSD card with a rated speed of up to 160MB/s read and 90MB/s write using SanDisk’s proprietary adapter to obtain baseline “peak” performance of the card itself. Obtained results were just a bit better than SanDisk’s advertised speeds for this card at 167.62MB/s read and 106.39MB/s write. Next using the Insignia dual card reader in the ZenBook’s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, CrystalDiskMark reported 95.91MB/s read and 85.76MB/s write speeds which falls right in line with Insignia’s 95MB/s transfer speed claim, with just a hair lower write performance than SanDisk’s advertised speeds for this card. To see if port type made any difference, I ran the same tests using the ZenBook’s Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port. Reported results were virtually identical with read speeds maxing out at 94.15MB/s and write speeds at 85.86MB/s. Although the form-factor for this Insignia dual card reader is very convenient, I do wish it offered an activity LED just to let you know when the reader was *successfully* being accessed/used. The snap-on caps are also appreciated, though the fit isn’t necessarily very tight; some light magnets or a slightly more aggressive snap-fit would provide additional reassurance that you won’t inadvertently misplace or dislodge one of the protective caps while it’s being transported in a pocket, bag, or backpack. These quibbles aside, this is a solid and economically priced card reader that offers the flexibility of multiple device and multiple memory card compatibility with cable-decluttering convenience while reaching its advertised transfer speeds (so long as you are using a memory card that meets or exceeds the reported 95MB/s throughput limit). This reader is a definitely recommended accessory for photographers on the go or those using SD or microSD memory cards as external drives for easily transportable file storage.

I have a Nikon digital camera that uses SD cards for the photos, but my laptop and desktop neither has a card reader. It works great on both computers.
