These do a great job for basic VR through cardboard. Cheap enough so if a kid breaks it you are not out $200. Very basic design easy to use out of box, fit all my family's phones (S7, IPhone 6s, 5c). Has a velcro strip to keep your phone in place but I don't trust it lol and there is no strap so you HAVE to hold it against yourself, but AGAIN it's a $5 party favor VR. If u want basic entry level you can't get a better deal - I bought 7 of them to hand out and keep and the home, been 2 months and none have broke :)

I purchased this VR set because of the price. Didn't want to drop more money until I tried it out. I'm very please with the product for the price I paid. It works with all varieties of phones. Even used my iphone 7 plus, although it's a little bit of an awkward fit, you can make it work. Works with lots of third party apps. Wish it worked with Oculus. Don't like that you have to hold it up to your eyes the whole time but can't complain for $10. Makes me want to upgrade to a higher end VR set. If only they would come out with a really good one for Apple...

I considered these when they were $9.99 just for the gimmick. They're cardboard, it's handheld with no way to strap to head, there's no way to control the media without removing the phone/device from the enclosure and the media offered is limited. However, I jumped on the deal when it was only $1! All that said, I think this is the perfect way to get an idea of a VR experience. This will not be an item you'll use much. Either you're blown away and you'll devote to a high end VR rig or you'll enjoy for a day or so and it'll sit on your shelf not to be used again. For the price, it could scratch an itch or decide for you if VR is your thing without utter buyer's remorse. YouTube has media to use with this and there are several apps one can download to try out VR. Not reflective of this product but most apps make you pay for HD media which is needed to really experience this platform of entertainment. Just FYI.

We were very curious what VR looked like, this viewer was a very affordable way to check it out. With 20 friends and family for the Holidays everyone, young and old, had a great time learning what this new technology had to offer at a basic level. If you're just curious or want to see if you like it before purchasing an upgraded version, this is the way to go! It was very simple to use, held up nicely with all the passing around (we're still using it) and everyone had a lot of fun. For the young and old we started them in a swivel chair so they could get the full 360 experience without endangering anyone or the furniture. We passed it around for hours most taking multiple turns. For a test set or the occasional user, it's HIGHLY Recommended. Now that you've seen what it has to offer, you'll understand out what options you want to see in your upgraded version.

Picked this up in a Deal of the Day for $2.99 and it's been definitely worth the price of admission. I've been having a blast with the silly thing! Compatible with Google's Carboard App (syncs right up with the QR code printed on it) and you're good to go. Lots of great 360° videos available in YouTube for it, as well (be sure to hit the viewer icon in the lower right corner!). I used some spare elastic and Velcro and rigged up straps for it. A great bit of inexpensive VR fun.

I bought this because I was curious about this "VR" that everyone was talking about but I didn't want to spend $100 for something I might not care much for. I found this and downloaded some VR apps on my phone and it was so amazing! This works with most phones. Mine is an Axon 7 phone. If you're thinking about diving into VR or you're just curious, I'd pick this up. It's not expensive, but functions pretty well.

I bought these on sale as stocking stuffers and was surprised at how much fun all the kids - and adults - had with them. At the regular price they are still a great value. I'm very happy with my purchase. Only giving 4 stars because they don't have a head strap - but hey, for the price, this can't be beat!

Super cool gift for kids especially considering how cheap it is. Great for people who don't really know what VR is or who don't want to commit to buying a super expensive headset. Fit my iPhone 7 (regular not plus) just fine

This was an impulse buy. I saw it on sale for about $3 so I said to myself “eh why not?” I’m not very tech savvy so after about an hour figuring this out it was totally worth it. The virtual reality was hilarious to me. At one point while still learning an animal in the tutorial startled me. I’ve never experienced the VR world and this was a great way to start. I gave it a 4 only because it can get a bit tiresome having to hold it with both hands the whole time, but that’s what the expensive ones are for I guess. Anyway if you want to just try the VR world then this is a great start for more than half off the Big Brand prices.

Easy, minimal setup. For the price, it is a pretty decent VR viewer. Depending on what phone you have, you will have to do a bit of finesse to get your phone to fit well especially if you have a thick phone case.

It worked. It was easy to down load a VR APP. load my phone the Box VR. I was riding a roller coaster. I also ran a travel run of various cities around the world. I was sold. Back to Best Buy, I bought a Oculus Go. Love it. Note: You don't need a phone to run Oculus Go, but you need a phone to load Oculus Go. Check the specs on your phone to ensure that it will run Oculus APP to the machine. I also noted that if you leave your wifi area, Oculus goes dead.

Nice entry into the VR sphere. For the price, there’s not really more you can ask for. It’s still a pretty cool experience.

I had no experience with virtual reality, so this was a chance to try it with a minimum investment. The product does exactly what it is designed to do, and is very easy to set up & use. If I wanted to immerse myself heavily into VR, I would purchase a more robust product, but for now, I'm happy to use this for about 10 minutes a day.

Was my first foray into phone based vr. It works well. Especially the cost. Doesn't have a band to hold to head, but for under $10? it's just a fun no-brainer. Gave one to my pre-teen niece and she has had a blast. I have an Asus Lazer 2 and she uses on a Samsung Galaxy prime. Works fine with both. a great little item. Really good for a cost filler if you need.

If you wanted a quick sample of a VR experience on either a IOS and android device this is the most affordable way. Using the select google cardboard App Store their is a small handful of games and apps you can try. As well as watching VR content offered by sites such as youtube. Don't expect anything mind blowing just standard VR, and with the lack of a head strap be ready to hold this up unless your creative enough to make your own strap.

This device works well with even larger sized phones. Graphics are ok, but not going to blow anyone away. For what you get, the price is right.

It's just a neat VR set. It's pretty cheap but you can still see 360 videos on youtube which is all i use it for.

Purchased on deal of the day. It was amazing what a cardboard intro into virtual reality could do. The phone and apps worked flawlessly with the unit. Well constructed and sturdy. The family had a lot of fun trying them out. Probably would not purchase them at full $10 price.
