Although outdated from lga 1700 and wouldnt recommend buying for that reason, if you have a lga 1200 motherboard ready this is a great cpu i was running it for about 2 years fully overclocked (liquid aio) and only upgraded because im more of a enthusiast builder, cpu still works great and it easily has a few more years in it plus i have yet to find a game it couldnt handle (besides city skylines 2 for obvious reason) it pairs wonderfully with a gigabyte 3060 12gb overclocked at 1080 and 1440 you could most definitely get a better graphics card thats just what i had at the time you might want to run at 4k though if you looking to go up to higher 30 or 40 series rtx cards look into running 4k puts less strain on the cpu and can eliminate a gpu bottleneck(i would include testbench scores but it’s no longer in any computer)

This cpu is great I haven’t had any issues with it since I’ve had it (1.5 years). I tried the i9 1200 lga version and there wasn’t much of a noticeable performance upgrade so I stuck with this one.

Pros- Very fast. Upgraded from a 10th gen processor on a B560 motherboard. Installation was easy. Cons- Runs hot, idles at over 50°C on H100i AIO cooler w/o fans running. Stock cooler may need to be upgraded for CPU intensive applications.

Coming from a 10100, you can really feel the difference in performance in the chip, its basically night and day. I honestly cant find a reason to choose the K series version of this model.

Upgraded from a 10400, and for the price I paid for this, it would have been silly to not buy it. Great cpu if you're upgrading from an older i5/i3.

runs like a champ would recommend to anyone on a i3 9100.the i7 11700 runs baldurs gate 3 relly good for the price point

I decided to go with the i7 11700 non k cpu, main reason is that I am not an overclocker, and also not a gamer. And I also like my cpu low powered I even set my bios to impose all limits on the cpu by disabling the multicore enhancement. The only thing I let run overclocked is the memory modules. But even with keeping the cpu locked, the improvement from my previous i7 8700 was significant. When rendering blu ray movies in Handbrake it resulted in more than 50% cut in time. I was surprised and shocked. At first I could not believed it, but I double check if the settings are the same as before, and that I am using the cpu to render and they were, as a matter of fact I even added more features in the settings, like adding more audio tracks and subs . All in all I am very happy with the processor… For a while I was contemplating AMD but I was always an Intel fan so that was it. Highly recommended for low wattage usage.

Speed up my pc instantly, feels like going from 75 hz to 360hz not to expensive and every game runs great

When my motherboard died I saw two newer CPU socket types, so I picked this for price/power and I have not been disappointed. Really, I am not at all impressed by the onboard graphics power but my motherboard automatically switched to the NVIDIA card when I added it. I have not been able to overstress this CPU with the games I play so I have no need for overclocking in the near future. This runs fast and cool with the included cooler

I upgraded my old CPU to this, and it is a godsend! I'm glad I was able to purchase it on sale! It definitely enhanced my photography and videography workspace! Excellent with gaming as well! Again, I would hesitate to buy it at the total price, but it was definitely worth it on sale!

Enjoying this processor! I was blown away with this processor it is lightning fast and was not difficult to install and the fan that comes with it was pretty awesome as well! I am a gamer and now my games and gaming is really rocking!

Great processor still running strong 3 years later. Perfect for my tiny build with plenty of muscle to run anything I need gaming or editing. Just because it’s older don’t count it out.

It was very easy to mount, as all intel CPUs, it came with a stock cooler and it had a bit of thermal paste already on it, the CPUs performance is just perfect with my 3060 8gb but i had to get a new cooler (got an AiO Corsair Elite H60) because it was getting around 60 idle and 90+ in any game. The mobo even turned on a red led saying that the temperature was too high. I have a Corsair Airflow 4000X and even without the side panel it was getting hot af with the stock cooler. If you're planning on getting it for CPUs intensive tasks i highly recommend to buy an extra cooler.

Works great. No overclocking, but I didn’t want to anyways - 8c/16t is enough to power me through anything I’m doing. Long term I’ll put in a Deskmini H470 and anticipate it being just as solid as in my tower currently. Didn’t test integrated graphics, but PCIe 4.0 worked.
