About this product

Vinyl LP. Say It Out Loud is undeniably fun and urgent in message. And backing their modernized 2-Tone-tinged, guitar-fueled, melody-heavy sound are lyrics that confront everything from social control and self-empowerment to domestic violence and the media circus surrounding the next presidential election. True to The INTERRUPTERS' unabandoned passion and personal-meets-political dynamic, the first song shared from the album is InchBy My Side,Inch a fist-pumping, tender tribute to outcast solidarity. Since the of their 2014 self-titled debut, The INTERRUPTERS have split their time between touring with the likes of The English Beat and Bad Religion and cranking out new material that shows off their irrepressible sensibility. So when the time came to record their sophomore album Say It Out Loud, the four-piece hit the studio with Rancid's Tim Armstrong and fired off 14 new songs that both capture their frenetic energy and reveal a whole new level of boldness in their songwriting. InchOver the past couple years we got to know ourselves so much better as a band, and that gave us a lot of room to really grow on this album,Inch notes frontwoman Aimee Interrupter, whose bandmates include guitarist Kevin Bivona, bassist Justin Bivona, and drummer Jesse Bivona. Produced by Armstrong and recorded partly at his studio (as well as at Travis Barker's Opra Studios), Say It Out Loud are a batch of feel-good songs proving The INTERRUPTERS' unstoppably upbeat spirit. The INTERRUPTERS have forged a formidable bond that deeply informs their music. InchLoyalty, family, friendship, and unity-with upstrokes,Inch says Kevin. InchThat pretty much sums up The INTERRUPTERS and what we are all about.Inch Album Tracks 1. By My Side 2. She Got Arrested 3. Babylon 4. On a Turntable 5. The Prosecutor 6. Control 7. Phantom City (Feat. Tim Timebomb) 8. Media Sensation 9. You'r

Purr - Who Is Afraid Of Blue? - VINYL LP

An indie pop duo whose music has a cool retro vibe buoyed by smooth melodies, a naturalistic sound, and warm harmonies, Purr is a collaboration between songwriters, musicians, and longtime friends Eliza Barry Callahan and Jack Staffen. The two previously worked together as Jack + Eliza, but while that project emphasized spare and stripped-down accompaniment, Purr's recordings feature a fuller sound with a larger palette of instrumental flavors that often references '60s pop. Purr introduced themselves to the world with a 2018 single, InchBad AdviceInch b/w InchPainted Memory,Inch that showed off their talents as both writers and vocalists, and they further refined their style on their first full-length album, 2020's Like New and continue that on forthcoming album 'Who Is Afraid Of Blue?'To make it, the duo teamed up with their close friend, producer Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, Father John Misty, The Killers), whom they worked with on 'Like New.' They went to his NorthHollywood studio, a small building behind his home. This was during Omicron, so they keptrecording small, just the three of them in a room for most of the time. Programmed drums on an 808, that kind of thing. While they recorded, they screened movies. Ranging from Barbara Loden's Wanda, to Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia, to Dr. Strange and The Avengers. It all provided texture to the songs. Like making a score. InchIt's a really hermetic record,Inch says Staffen, Inchwhich ended up feeling really special.InchSonically, 'Who is Afraid of Blue?' isn't beholden by genre. It is an omnivorous record-you can hear glimmers of Aimee Mann, Radiohead, the Cocteau Twins which is fitting because 'Blue' is in some ways a record of their process of falling in love with music all over again. 'Who is Afraid of Blue?' also exists lightly in conversation with a short novel Callahan wrote (forthcoming via Catapult, 2024),
