IOGEAR - USB Type-C Duo Card Reader/Writer - Silver

I used this device to transfer photos from my old Sony camera to my new laptop. I transferred 1980 photos in less than one minute. Due to small size, it is easy to carry the device together with the camera.

I got this to go with my Cyber-shot DSC-HX80 18.2-Megapixel Digital Camera. This allows me to quickly transfer fotos to any computer USB port. Makes my reporting easier and it is small enough to fit in my camera pouch so I never forget it.

What can I say? It's inexpensive, easy to use, and does the job as advertised. The card slots on my old pc have failed and this saved me from having to buy a new computer!

I got this to replace having to put my sd card in my phone or tablet to be able to transfer videos and pictures to my computer. So far it has been working great and it reads the card fast when connected to the computer. It may be a little pricey but it works great.

I have had a usb 2.0 adapter for years, and recently tried to use it while monitoring its read and write speeds. Needless to say, if was plugging along at a mere 1-1.5 Mb/s. I got this adapter as its replacement, and was not disappointed with difference. It managed read and write speeds of 70-75Mb/s with both type A and type C connections. The card being used was rated for speeds of 90-100Mb/s, but I cannot verify whether the bottleneck was the adapter or the card itself. So for the time being, I am satisfied with its performance and sturdy build.
