Ivo Perelman - Karate - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

One of the longest standing improvisational duos in music return to shake things up with a new approach to free improvisation. Short, beautiful, lyrical music made possible by a decades-long musical partnership.Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5Part 6Part 7Part 8Part 9Part 10Part 11Part 12

Joe Morris writes about their music InchThe music here is held together by an instantaneously configured natural structure that is built on an evolving melodic and rhythmic form, made with one sound or silence at a time. There is an implied agreement of support and acceptance of each particle that is presented... Ivo Perelman sets the course that is shared by everyone equally. His ideas are rich, open, interesting, and inventive. I believe that Ivo's latest wave of music is just the tip of the iceberg. There is plenty more where this come from.Inch
