About this product
This album of vintage J. B. Lenoir material should be something for devotees of Chicago blues everywhere to celebrate and enjoy. He gave expression through his music and songwriting to the aspirations and everyday predicaments of the common man, though with an uncommon voice and talent in his case. J. B. is rightly still renowned as the most topical modern Chicago blues man. The sessions presented here were recorded in 1954 and '55 at Universal Studios in Chicago. Four singles were issued, of which two, cemented J. B.'s fame. InchMama Talk to Your DaughterInch was an infectious, accessible and popular boogie piece, which has become synonymous with it's creator. Much more controversial was InchEisenhower Blues,Inch of which two takes are included on this wonderful collection. All selections newly remastered. Album Tracks 1. Mama, Talk Tour Daughter 2. Eisenhower Blues 3. Sitting Down Thinking 4. What Have I Done 5. Mama, Your Daughter's Gonna Miss Me 6. I'm in Korea 7. We Got to Realize (We Can't Go on This Way) 8. I Lost My Baby 9. Man, Watch Your Women 10. Give Me One More Shot 11. Fine Girls 12. I'm Gonna Die Someday 13. Eisenhower Blues (Take 1)
