    Did everything I needed it to do!

    I tried HDMI to VGA adapters and DVI to VGA adapters, but they would not play nicely with my older 4-Port KVM that allows me to switch between 4 computers using one Keyboard, Video screen, and Mouse. Those VGA adapters would cause a Disconnect on my PC that would scramble the icons on my Desktop when I returned and reconnected to it. This DisplayPort to VGA adapter switches with the KVM just like it used to when I had a VGA Card in the PC that now has an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti installed (there is no VGA Port on that Video Card). But I need that kind of KVM with PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse ability, and VGA cables, to be able to connect older PCs that I do repairs on. Great little device that saved me lots of hassles, and possibly having to purchase a new KVM! Works great with my 1920x1080 resolution 24" Monitor.

  • Is this adapter an active as opposed to passive? Thanks in advance

    Not sure Really. I was trying to find a way to connect new card to KVM switch. Finally went with HDMI to VGA. This works great as a direct connection to the monitor. When hooked to the VGA Switch the boot up does not display. You turn it on and wait a few moment and you are looking at the Login Screen
