For whatever reason I have always had a hard time using CAC readers on personal computers esp. Macs. But this one has worked no issues, didnt need to find the driver for it online either. Has the light to show you the computer is registering in and a separate light to show you the card is registered as well. Plus the USB or USB-C option is nice.

75% of the time I have no issues, and it seems to operate faster than my previous reader. However, it is quite fragile. I have it resting on my desk and it doesnt really move, but somehow the bottom popped off on one side (easy to pop back on) and requires some finesse to insert the card to where it can be read properly. Might not be a widespread issue, but definitely unexpected (and inconvenient) when it does occur.

Overall a very good experience. Straight up plug and play. It was exactly what I needed. Additionally, the customer service was awesome. They had my item ready as soon as I got there, checked me out in about 2 minutes and I was on my way.

The perfectly adequate common access card reader and other smart card reader there are some that are better there are some that are worse but this one accomplishes the main goal

This worked PERFECTLY for me. I needed this to make an appointment using my CAC. I’m so glad it worked and I would recommend buying this for CAC reading.

Works great very durable. I really like that you can also connect to phone as my older cac reader could not do that. Very compact and not to bulky so easy to put in a compartment of a book bag and not get damaged.

This is the modernization I needed! I have the flexibility to either choose between USB or USB-C. I have surface pro and no software installation was required to make it work.
