Jack the Lad - Jackpot - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

First time on CD for this 1960 album from the Flamenco guitarist, who has often been referred to as Inchthe king of FlamencoInch. Features the original album artwork. Nine tracks.

Part balladeer and part bluesman, Jack is a dedicated songwriter and finger-style guitarist based in Minneapolis, MN. His sound pulls from a wide range of American music. From Rhythm and Blues and early Rock N Roll, to country and folk music, Jack brings his own voice to all of his songs. In the words of Americana Roots UK InchJack doesn't rely on other writers for his diversity, he can write in pretty much any musical style of his choosing.

Expanding from the sleepier, acoustic-driven bedroom territory of his debut (2019's 'Good To Know You'), 'These Northwood Blues' finds singer-songwriter Jack M. Senff exploring the 70's-inspired realm of folk-rock Americana. Drawing influence from Neil Young & other artist of the era, Senff & his newly-formed Rolling Hill Band tracked the album live with minimal overdubbing at Eureka Records in Wyandotte, Michigan during a weekend-break in the July 2020 chaos of national sociopolitical upheaval. In turns driving, volatile, exuberant, & patient, 'These Northwood Blues' plays with the form & allows Senff to continue putting his own characteristic spin on the longstanding tradition of greater folk music.
