Customer Ratings & Reviews

I have a booth at a flea market that lacks electrical service. This little device saves the day every day by allowing me to display the unusual lamps that I build, as well as to check the various used products that I sell which need to be proven operable. As I live in a hurricane-prone area, I anticipate that it will be charging my phone and providing temporary power when we inevitably lose electric service. Wish I could afford the solar panels to charge it but having the option to simply plug it in to recharge is doing it for me now. GREAT product which I frequently recommend to my customers and fellow vendors.

The Jackery Explorer 290 has been extremely reliable and easy to use. It’s lightweight, charges quickly, and provides plenty of power for phones, laptops, lights, and small electronics. The build quality feels solid, and it’s perfect for camping, road trips, or emergency backup at home. I appreciate the quiet operation and clear display. Overall, an excellent portable power solution that delivers exactly what it promises.

Last year we were victims of Hurricane Ian. We were without power for 10 days. Our constant challenge was where to charge our mobile devices. Nowadays everything we all use is a rechargeable device. We survived the Hurricane the best way we could. After the storm I researched and purchased this unit. I have tested it with multiple devices, even multiple laptops. I stored it for a few months and took it out again... The results: It maintains power, recharges my devices even afte putting it away for a few months. It is portable and small enough you can store it anywhere, on a shelf, under the cabinet. As an added accessory you can purchase a solar panel charger. For now I don't see the need for it. Hopefully this notes have been helpful.

This tiny power generator is very powerful and easy to operate. I use it every night for my business. I plug two string lights, phones, speaker and still wont finish its charge. It is a very affordable product for what it offers and it is the best brand out there.

Nice Jackery 290. Charged fully in 3hrs, and tested on plugged in the Sony HDTV 65” @ 180W, and it lasted for 1.5hr. If it was a smaller TV like 32”, it will last 4.5hr. My 2nd test was plugged in my desktop computer with 24” monitor and it lasted 26hrs. This is impressive considering the little size of the Jackery 290

I purchased this item because I was going camping. I have not been camping in years because I have to use a CPAP machine when I sleep. This machine allowed me to use my machine for two nights without a problem. I still had enough battery to charge my phone and operate a small fan for those two nights in the tent. I highly recommend this product.

This little thing has come in handy on more than one occasion. Whether it's for charging phones or laptops it's been consistently effective. The battery lasts quite some time for how small and light-weight it is. This Jackery is so amazing I even recommended them to my boss and he purchased a 2000kwh and a 1500kwh to use for trade shows!

Very compact, easy to carry to parks and for tailgating parties Easy to charge and you can use a solar panel to charge.

Love this thing! Works wonderfully for off gridding, it’s compact an light weight. Charges fast an keeps a charge for longer than expected.

As a chunky, semi-lightweight generator; the 290 is pretty solid if you can get it at a sale price. It's got a decent variety of ports for any kind of use but it's most helpful for me personally during road trips and outdoor activities such as camping and bonfires.

This is a game changer. I am enjoying my Jackery. I saw it on YouTube and I had to get one. I am ready for the next generation Jackerys.

Great portable source of energy, I brought for camping, it helped to blow 2 mattresses plus charge cell phones, use computer… it’s small and easy to work with.

We pretty much just use it to charge our phones while camping. We went for a week and we only had to charge it for a few minutes at the end of the week! (Charging 2 phones and 2 headlamps every night)

Works with my dreamstation 2 and keeps it powered for several nights of sleep.

Light weight and easy to carry around on road trips

Just what I needed! I use it as an emergency device charger. If power goes out at my work site, I can charge all my devices in my car at once. I keep it plugged into my car power port so anytime my engine is on, the jackery is charging. I bought it for $180 bucks so the price was too good to pass up. Most other comparable units can be $250 to $350. So the price was really the deal maker for me. I am satisfied :-)

This is a durable and reliable generator. One charge lasted me 2 1/2 days camping.

I brought this only because it said it was a "Solar Generator" and looking inside the box, there was no Solar panel that came with this "Solar Generator" Why sell this Product as a Solar Generator and there isn't a Solar Panel inside the box with it? The box was sealed.

I used this to power a blow up display for trunk or treat, can handle a lot. Absolutely worth the buy

I really love my new charger! I used it the first day I got it. I let it charge and the used it at a yard sale. I used it to power a television and charge my phone and a Bluetooth speaker! What a great tool to have!
