Jacob Alon - In Limerence - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

On ALL IN TIME, MOORE, JACOB channels restless momentum into dynamic contrasts, weaving low-end warmth with lithe bass lines. Crafted with care and built for replay value. The result is a striking balance of heart and head-music that rewards close listening with late-night clarity and head-nod satisfaction. An essential pick for those who value emotive pull.

Vinyl LP pressing. When Throbbing Gristle disbanded in 1981, Chris and Cosey embarked on a career as a duo that'd see them through four decades (and counting) of constant experimentation, reinvention and innovation. By the time they released Musik Fantastique! They were already deep into their journey, and had settled into a relaxed groove. With little to prove, they were able to concentrate on slick songwriting and twitchy beatbox and synth work that was pulling in as much inspiration from Detroit techno and electro as it was chilly European pop. Nowhere near as gloomy and sensual as 1987's well-known InchExotikaInch or it's grinding, industrial followups, this album sounds bright in comparison, with fizzy electronics and fourth-world FM sounds replacing the usual thick Wax Trax-era thump and erotique tension.

This recording has NEVER been released on vinyl. Having appeared in La Dolca Vita before joining The Velvet Underground in New York in the mid-60s, Nico seemed to be at the epicentre of all that was cool in the 60s. And she continued that trend by relocating to Manchester in the 80s for a career renaissance before sadly dying in 1988. This vinyl immortalised her performance at The Hacienda, Manchester, in 1983. This deluxe package will include an OBI strip, single album jacket, printed inner sleeve, record labels and crystal clear purple vinyl.
