Japan - Quiet Life (Limited Edition, Red Vinyl)That Japan's breakthrough record Quiet Life was released in both 1979 and 1980 is uniquely fitting for a band who were about to step out of the glam rock, post punk shadows of the late 70s and deliver a record with a brand new sound that would come to define the 80s. Quiet Life was the third, final and most successful on the Hansa Records tag. A forerunner for the alternative/new wave sound of the new decade, the album would become one of the great classic British albums. The record is now the subject of a major new reissue featuring a brand new half-speed remaster of the original album The features newly restored original album artwork, exclusive new liner notes.

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing Half-speed master. Japan's fifth and final album Tin Drum was released by Virgin Records in November 1981. Generally regarded as the group's best work, the album peaked at #12 in the UK and features the single, InchThe Art of PartiesInch and the Top 5 single, InchGhostsInch. Mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road, each record was cut using a half-speed mastering technique; a specialist artisan process, which results in cuts that have a superior high frequency (treble) response and solid and stable stereo images. In short this produces a very high quality master, which in turn helps to create a very high quality record.

Following their acclaimed 2023 album, Absolute Reality, Holiday Ghosts 5th album, Coat Of Arms captures several facets within their musical output powerful, gut-punch punky garage rock; classic jangly indie pop; songs of protest and resistance and songs that resonate emotion and introspection. With an array of support in recent years (The Guardian, The Independent, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, KEXP, DIY, Clash, So Young, The Line Of Best Fit), as well as repeated support on the BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Craig Charles, Mark Riley) and Radio X (John Kennedy), Holiday Ghosts' impeccable brand of garage rock has certainly attracted considerable attention across the board; whilst their thrilling live show has already seen them tick off slots at the likes of Latitude Festival and Left Of The Dial, in addition to supports with Black Lips, Bodega and The Bug Club.
