Bought this to work with my home karaoke setup. I used a Yamaha MG10XU and a series of adapter to connect my source (iPad/laptop/phone) then split audio and video to respective destinations. The sound range is very good for the price. It has Bluetooth capability which I use often to stream music. It also has two XLR/TS connections for mic or instruments. I only use the XLR for left and right input from my board. The overall tone is bright, has decent bass but not too deep. Has preset EQ but I leave it flat so I can use my mixer to tweak what I need. I would say it would helpful to have a remote to turn on and off. The buttons are located in the back and if you’re not doing gigs, it’s a pain to turn it on and off. Also volume control is manual knob in the back so I have it set in one spot and I just control it via mixer. You might want to plan ahead of location of this thing and what it will be used for. Others may not be happy with everything being manual controls and buttons. Overall sound quality is very good for the price range. It is a little heavy but comparing other brands like Behringer, it’s about the same for the size. I did not even know if there are battery capability, mine is always plugged in.

The JBL IRX112BT delivers impressive sound for its size, especially in the bass department. While it doesn’t reach the ultra-deep low end you’d get from something like a JBL PartyBox 120, it does offer noticeably more volume and stays clean even at high levels. Unlike the PartyBox line, the bass doesn’t collapse or distort when you really push it. One small gripe is the power button. It doesn’t give instant feedback—you press it and wait about five seconds before the speaker turns on or off. The first few times I thought nothing was happening and kept pressing it, but once you know the delay is normal, it’s easy to live with. At around 27 lbs, the IRX112BT is surprisingly lightweight for a PA speaker, and it gets very loud. When I first tested it in my office, my wife came in to tell me it was shaking items off the shelves in the room next door—that’s how strong the output is. For context, I’m a hobby DJ who occasionally does parties for friends and family. I don’t do professional gigs anymore, but if you do, I’d recommend pairing this speaker with a subwoofer to get that full, room-filling low end. And that’s really the advantage of this speaker over consumer options like the PartyBox series: the IRX112BT is a true PA speaker with pro-level connections and scalability. You can start simple and expand your setup as you grow. Overall, it’s loud, clean, reliable, and flexible—a solid choice whether you’re a hobbyist or building a small PA rig.

I bought this for an outdoor speaker to use with my Dj set-up for a small space party at retail location. It was loud and clear but no boom i put it on a stand for more range. It was clear but no bass in it at all. I hate the power/bluetooth buttons they are tricky to turn on off. i recommend for purchase but not at $499.99 It is overpriced in my opinion due to no thump on what u would expect from jBL.

Okay I get that It's a top speaker. But it still should have some bass. it has no bass. And it doesn't sound that great. Definitely not JBL quality. I've had DJ speakers before and I know that they are not high quality sound. They are met just to be loud and bassy. But this speaker has neither. It doesn't get that loud. No way the speaker is 1200 w. No way. I would return it but I can still use it maybe. Because it doesn't have the connections that I need to hook to my mixer. So why is it a DJ speaker?
