21 Track CD - The Entire Fire Records Sessions for the first time on a Single CD. By 1962, when Arthur InchBig BoyInch Crudup belatedly released his debut album, he'd been recording for two full decades. His songs InchThat's All Right (Mama)Inch and InchMy Baby Left MeInch were part of the fresh approach that catapulted Elvis Presley to stardom, but Crudup had actually composed and released these titles during the 1940's. By 1962 Crudup had retired from the music industry, due in part to frustration over lack of publishing royalties, but he made a strong comeback. Bobby Robinson's Fire Records allowed him do an album on his own terms, and many feel the result represents some of the best-recorded Crudup of all time. His classic songs on the album are re-recorded versions but musically up to par with the original versions, benefiting from improvements in recording technique and the artistically free atmosphere of the sessions, and this collection includes many additional sides not available on the original album. Vinyl LP pressing. f you're among the legions of Widespread Panic fans, you already know that the band is legendary for never playing the same show twice - or the same song the same way twice. What makes this performance that much more special is the inspiring presence of founding member Michael Houser (whose nickname InchPanicInch inspired the band's name), who died of pancreatic cancer less than two years later. As much as anything, this is a celebration of Houser's life and the sheer joy he brought to a band that became one of the biggest draws on the international concert circuit and created a vibe that makes the Panic experience unique in the pop rock world. But anybody who knows anything about them knows that Widespread Panic is so much more than just a jam-happy rock band. From the time Houser and John Bell (InchJBInch) began playing duets around Athens, Georgia, in the early 80's, their repertoire ranged from early covers of the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley to a host of original songs (among them InchSpace WranglerInch, included here) that demonstrate, as The Village Voice wrote, Incha willingness to dip their collective toe into just about any genre.Inch This is classic Widespread Panic, including David Schools on bass, John Hermann on keys, Todd Nance on drums and Domingo Ortiz on percussion. One look at this show and it'll quickly become obvious there was something strange going on in the house that night. Yes, it was Halloween, 2000, and the rabid fans went beyond even their usual hard-core delirium. This was one time the audience almost threatened to steal the show! - Terry Lickona (Producer Austin City Limits®)

Phantastic Ferniture is the project of old friends Julia Jacklin, Elizabeth Hughes, Ryan K Brennan, and Tom Stephens, who wanted to shake the shackles of their meticulously crafted solo work to experience a second, giddy adolescence. That's evident in the urgent garage-pop perfection of the band's more spontaneous and less technical self-titled debut. Whenever the band members could get into the same room, Brennan took the producer's role (as well as the drummer's seat) at Sydney's Studios 301, Defwolf and One Flight Up, with additional vocals tracked at The Sitting Room in New Zealand.
