- Comes in a digi sleeve and printed inner wallet- Facsimile MONO edition .1966 debut album by Texan pioneers of psychedelia. Presenting the HIT singles 'You're Gonna Miss Me' and 'Reverberation'InchThis ground-breaking album not only defined psychedelic rock but informed punk a decade later, influencing everyone from Led Zeppelin to The Cramps. Originally issued in November 1966, this album has not only continued to gain importance but also world-wide recognition as the first bona fide psychedelic rock album. This is a facsimile edition of the original mono mix, a faithful reproduction of what was pressed in 1966. It represents the authentic sound and TRANSFORMATIVE POWER of The Psychedelic Sounds of The 13th Floor Elevators. The mono pressing is highly prized for it's uncompromising solid-sounding mix. Meticulous attention to detail has gone into this reissue and the digitisation to make sure every detailed nuance was preserved. A 96KHZ-24bit pass, using a valve signal at minus ten decibels (to eliminate turntable rumble), was conducted several times in order to gauge the best results. No attempt was made to rebalance or EQ. A half speed master was then cut at AIR Mastering and a test pressing was then dubbed using the same process and the dynamic range compared against the original pressing. The result was a better sound pressing than the original!

Although he already has a rich stage and recording career behind him, this is Tim Mead's first solo album. 'Juxtaposing the sacred and secular aspects of Vivaldi's work, this program explores the earthly passion of the divine and the heavenly beauty of love', says the English countertenor. 'When they are placed side by side, his highly individual approach reveals that these two worlds are closely intertwined, in music at once astonishing and highly virtuosic.' With his partners from Arcangelo, directed by Jonathan Cohen, we hear him in the famous Nisi Dominus and the no less celebrated cantata Cessate, omai, cessate, alongside the Salve Regina RV618 and Amor, hai vinto.

William Hawley (b. 1950) is one of the central figures in today's American choral music renaissance. As a student at Ithaca College and the California Institute of the Arts, he composed avant-garde instrumental works, and even flirted with minimalism. The launch of his Two Motets in 1981 demonstrated a shift to vocal music and a more emotionally direct style. His continuing American choral music has helped establish compositional trends since adopted by Morten Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre, and the like. Winner American Prize in Choral Performance and the Margaret Hillis Award.
