- Description: 'Lucky Guy,' my first solo record, came out in May of 1989. Back then everybody used a lot of reverb on their recordings; this showed how serious we were about things. Coincidentally, in May of 1981 my band had a single in the Billboard Magazine Hot 100, and in May of 2001 my second solo album 'Jeff Now', eventually named 2001/2002 Best Indie Recording by the Providence Journal, was released. I think that I can say with confidence that we probably did use a great deal of reverb on these other recordings as well. I have a certain affection for the songs on 'Lucky Guy', especially with Bruce Millard's guitar stylings. So, while we're getting ready to record some new songs, I thought that it would be fun to reissue 'Lucky Guy.' Steve Meyer used all of his magic, and his oven, in order to rescue the original tape for re-mastering and, over my protests, refused to add any more reverb....I still like these songs, I hope you will too. Cheers, Jeff Keithline October (not May) 2002. Album Tracks 1. Rock & Roll Town 2. Walk with the King 3. My Life with the Gun 4. Love Is the Enemy 5. I Can't Touch Her 6. Lucky Guy
