Q: 2 Questions: 1) How can such a small radio hold 4 C batteries, plus hold the wound up cord in the back? Just curious. 2) Is this really a digital tuner? It looks like a basic knob that you turn to get the stations. Thanks!

A: It has a small compartment for the cord and another for the batteries. C batteries aren’t as big as your mind thinks (I was thinking D size in my head) C is quite smaller. We have a special needs adult who can’t sleep without a radio so we bought this in the event on power outage and have tested it out. It works just as well as his alarm clock radio(thankfully. The tuner is great. Delicate enough to grab the “in between” stations a digital would pass right by. You can fine tune it. I consider it a great buy for what we need.

Q: What batteries does this Jensen radio use?

A: Size c batteries.

Q: One of the questions was does it have a port for headphone jack and the answer was no. I narrowed my search for only radios with a headphone jack and this item was the first on the list. It is listed in the description but does it have it or not?

A: Yes, it does. And it also has excellent reception and good volume range. Exactly what I wanted!

Q: I see the answer was yes to if this has a plug. Is it a cigarette plug or regular electric plug? I’d like to utilize an FM radio in a postal vehicle. Do not care to use with my smartphone.

A: Regular electric plug

Q: What are the messurements. You forgot that. And its very important

A: Dimensions are approx. 5” high, 7” wide and depth 3”.

Q: I am most interested in the sound quality. Can you tell me about it?

A: VERY, very pleased with sound quality! Purchased Nov. 2018; never turn it off! Had previously purchased a small, inexpensive one and it was so bad that I returned it within a week. That's when I ordered the Jensen online and it was EXACTLY what I wanted!

    Jensen Radio Reception Better Old Radio

    I live in a low area of Redondo that gets poor electronic wave reception. Old radio would only pick up a few stations and they would fade in and out. Jenson gets more stations and much clearer. No stereo or thumping base but if you still listen to Rock & Roll, you probably can't hear the difference either. Great for use in the garden.

    Great weather/portable radio

    The sound on this radio is fantastic --- needed to purchase a battery radio due to the recent power outages and we found one that has great reception and clarity of sound. It is lightweight and a great size.

    Nice radio but no port for earbuds.

    Nice radio, compact and convenient to carry to the beach, park, etc. sound is good also. Only drawback is I was hoping it would have a port for ear buds or headphones.
