The digital AM/FM tuner is great for listening to local radio stations and the weather receiver gives you instant access to important information broadcast by NOAA on all 7 weather band frequencies. Weather alert is also included and instantly switches to your preset broadcast when a warning is issued – an indicator will light, and siren will sound giving you precious time to prepare. The unit is more than just a weather radio. It features a large built-in LED lantern to help light your way if the power goes out. The lantern has high, low and flashing settings and a built-in siren is also included if you need to get attention in critical situations. The unit also features Bluetooth connectivity to stream your music wirelessly, a multi-function red LED display, 2 front mounted USB charging ports for charging your cellphone, a headphone jack and built-in 5,000mAh rechargeable battery. You also have the option of installing a separate CR18650 type lithium-ion battery (not included) for increased play time. The JEP-950 is water resistant and offers 3 charging options for the battery. Use the manual dynamo hand crank located on the back of the unit, top mounted solar panel or with the included USB charging cord.
