Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced - VINYL LP

Are You Experienced is the debut studio album by the rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Released in 1967, the LP was an immediate critical and commercial success, and it is widely regarded as one of the greatest debuts in the history of rock music. The album features Jimi Hendrix's innovative approach to songwriting and electric guitar playing which soon established a new direction in psychedelic and hard rock music. Coming after three successful European singles, it helped introduce him as a new international star. Are You Experienced and it's preceding singles were recorded over a five-month period from late October 1966 through early April 1967. The album was completed in sixteen recording sessions at three London locations, including de Lane Lea Studios, CBS, and Olympic. Released in the UK on May 12, 1967, Are You Experienced spent 33 weeks on the charts, peaking at number two. The album was issued in the US on August 23 by Reprise Records, where it reached number five on the Billboard 200, remaining on the chart for 106 weeks, 27 of those in the Top 40. The US version contained some of Hendrix's best known songs, including the Experience's first three singles, which, though omitted from the British edition of the LP, were top ten hits in the UK InchPurple HazeInch, InchHey JoeInch, and InchThe Wind Cries MaryInch. In 2005, Rolling Stone ranked Are You Experienced fifteenth on it's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. They placed four songs from the album on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time InchPurple HazeInch (17), InchFoxy LadyInch (153), InchHey JoeInch (201), and InchThe Wind Cries MaryInch (379). That same year, the record was one of 50 recordings chosen by the Library of Congress in recognition of it's cultural significance to be added to the National Recording Registry. Mobb Deep - Infamous - VINYL LP
    4.8(5)

Limited double 180 gram vinyl LP pressing. The Infamous is the second studio album by the American hip hop duo Mobb Deep, released in 1995. The album features guest appearances from Nas and Wu-Tang Clan members Reakwon and Ghostface Killah. It marked Mobb Deep's transition from a relatively unknown rap duo to an influential and commercially successful one. One of the cornerstones of the New York hardcore movement, The Infamous is Mobb Deep's masterpiece, a relentlessly bleak song cycle that's been hailed by hardcore rap fans as one of the most realistic gangsta albums ever recorded. This is hard, underground hip hop that demands to be met on it's own terms, with few melodic hooks to draw the listener in. Similarly, there's little pleasure or relief offered in the picture of the streets Mobb Deep paint here. They inhabit a war zone where crime and paranoia hang constantly in the air. The product of an uncommon artistic vision, The Infamous stands as an all-time gangsta/hardcore classic. Album Tracks 1. The Start of Your Ending (41st Side) 2. [The Infamous Prelude] 3. Survival of the Fittest 4. Eye for a Eye (Your Beef Is Mines) 5. [Just Step Prelude] 6. Give Up the Goods (Just Step) 7. Temperature's Rising 8. Up North Trip 1. Trife Life 2. Q.U. - Hectic 3. Right Back at You 4. [The Grave Prelude] 5. Cradle to the Grave 6. Drink Away the Pain (Situations) 7. Shook Ones Pt. II 8. Party Over
