These headphones have great sound quality. Thr sEar buds are comfortable for a good amount of time. Bluetooth connection is solid and have a long range. Battery life is excellent. Instruction for button control is easy to learn.

We're actually big fans of JLab...we've had, or still have, their Studio Wireless on-ears, JBUD Air True Wireless Earbuds, JBUD Air ANC Wireless Earbuds, and a few of their kid-friendly headsets lying around for workouts, casual listening, and travel. All have proven to be surprisingly good performers, especially for the price. That's why it was with even greater surprise that we ended up so disappointed with the the Studio Pro ANC...arguably positioned as one of JLab's top-tier offerings based on price-point alone. But whether these will end up disappointing you, or end up being the right fit, will ultimately depend on just what you're after from a value-oriented set of ANC headphones. POSITIVES: It's certainly not all bad--JLab is usually a pretty safe bet as a value leader in headphones and earbuds and these are, in many ways, no exception. The headphones collapse into a more travel-friendly size thanks to a hinge joint above each earcup--this allows them to slip neatly into the provided neoprene drawstring bag along with the included USB-A to USB-C charging cable and the USB-C to 3.5mm aux cable. The bag won't provide any impact protection, but it's a nice pack-in to help keep everything together. Battery life is simply outstanding--I went more than 4 days of regular use WITH ANC running before needing my first recharge. The Studio Pros are absurdly light, clocking in at just over 220 grams, with ultra-generous padding on the headband and earcups that make for an almost dreamy fit. The pleather covering is actually some of the softest, most supple synthetic leather material I've ever felt on a headphone--time will tell how well it holds up before flaking or cracking; but to the touch, it's almost decadently soft and stupid-comfortable. Although side-to-side pivot is minimal, the vertical pivot and vertical adjustments are very generous and the clamping force--something that has caused me to abandon some top-of-the-line headphones costing in excess of $1-2K--is thankfully quite low. The earcups are "ear-shaped" as opposed to being round or ovals--this helps with over-ear comfort to a degree; but in truth, they're probably only large enough to fully enclose the ears of a child or someone with VERY small features. On my ears, I was able to tuck most of my earlobe inside the rear of the earcup while the remainder of the earpads kind of dribbled over the edges of the upper and lower portions of my ear--but again, because the padding is so generous and so soft, and the clamping force was so low, I never developed any discomfort or hotspots during extended listening. If you're looking for something that you could easily wear for hours on end without fatigue (like for silencing a noisy office throughout the day), look no further. Operation is reasonably simple with only 4 main controls to contend with: the volume rocker, a round power button, and a large JLab icon button on the right earcup...KUDOS to JLab for making each control distinct and uniquely shaped so you will NEVER mistake one control for another while fumbling around blind. In another gift of fine usability for those who appreciate it, JLab included many plain-English spoken audio prompts to indicate headphone status or function, i.e. Hello, You are connected, Battery full, Be aware, etc. Similar to many BT headsets on the market, function and playback controls were a combination of quick button presses and holds; but by-and-large, most of the controls feel a bit more intuitive than some of the odd-ball control schemes I've seen on other headsets. Volume up--just tap the top of the volume rocker...advance to the next track--hold that same button down for a few seconds. The power button serves multiple duties depending on press or hold, and whether there's an incoming call, but it's not that complex at all--the button will toggle play/pause, pickup/reject calls, or activate a digital assistant like Siri or Google. Active noise cancelling can be invoked for both BT and AUX connections through a press of the big JLab button on the right earcup. The Studio Pro features a pass-thru mode so you can hear the world around you, High and Low ANC levels, and ANC off. ANC performance, especially in HIGH, was surprisingly good as it effectively attenuated the sounds of office fans, A/C blowers, the hum of a nearby tower PC, and conversations in the next room nearly as well as my Bose QC 35s. Do note that if you're one of those individuals who are sensitive to the sound pressure that is generated by some headphone's ANC solutions, you might notice it here as well. Otherwise, we were pleased with how well the ANC solution worked in practice at reducing background noise. NEGATIVES: Overall, our complaints about the JLab Studio Pros really came down to sound quality as there wasn't much else we honestly DIDN'T like. Frankly, the sound quality in every sound mode was merely serviceable; bass was thin and treble felt a bit "strained"...not screechy--just not very articulate or detailed. I don't think it was a matter of having a poor seal (which can definitely impact sound quality in over-ear designs)--the headphones just didn't sound very full-bodied or dynamic. And regardless of EQ setting, bass simply disappeared in the lower registers making things like kick drums just fade into the mid-bass rather than standing on their own with any kind of authority or "weight." Granted, we didn't expect audiophile quality from a value-oriented set of cans like these, but the audio performance of their other headsets to date have been SO good that I guess we were still expecting a bit more from JLab's top-priced offering. And unlike our experience with JLab's ANC earbuds, the ANC solution in the Studio Pros DID, unfortunately, have a minor, but still noticeable, impact on sound quality while in operation. The results of our auditions were exceedingly surprising as we've always liked JLab's "Signature" sound mode (essentially a U or V-shaped EQ setting) on all of our other JLab headsets and earbuds. Sadly, "Bass Boost" made even more of a mess of things, not because it really helped bass all that much (frankly, it didn't), but because it cut the treble even further making the entire presentation even more dull and "veiled" sounding, but with some extra bloat in the mid-bass that just sounded muddy and unnatural. Speaking of the EQ settings, the Studio Pro offers three: JLab Signature, flat/balanced, and bass boost; however, the pack-in manual did not indicate how to access or change the EQ settings. Once we went online to pull down another JLab manual, we found that you need to press both the volume Up and Down buttons simultaneously. This turned out to be slightly troublesome only because the volume rocker is big enough that you can't really touch the top and bottom (where the Up/Down buttons are located) with one finger--but once you do find a setting you like, it's likely a set-it-and-forget-it affair anyway. Still, this is an odd misfire for JLab who are usually buttoned up much tighter in their control schemes--maybe a separate button positioned at the JLab icon on the left earcup would have been easier? The only other minor quip is that of the AUX input--it requires the use of JLab's included, though somewhat uncommon, passive USB-C to 3.5mm *male* adapter cable (not like a typical phone dongle with a USB-to-3.5mm female port). Hey, I'm all for getting more USB-C out in the wild as it's far more secure and durable than a micro-USB connector, and with so many things going Bluetooth these days, maybe you'll NEVER even care about that 3.5mm port in your car or laptop or older portable music player. But the simple fact is that a passive USB-C to 3.5mm male plug simply isn't a common cable configuration, certainly not as common as say, a simple 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male adapter/extension cable that is included with so many other BT-capable devices--so the likelihood of having another one lying around if you misplace JLab's blue pack-in is probably pretty low. Again, this might not be an issue for you at all, but it seems like adding a female 3.5mm port to the headset would have been a more practical solution for AUX duties. BOTTOM LINE: There's no denying that the Studio Pro ANC is a VERY competitively priced ANC headset with some VERY competitive ANC performance. If all you need is something to drown out the world around you, or maybe you listen primarily to spoken-word selections or podcasts and you're really not all that concerned about musicality and sound quality, this might actually be an ideal headset for you. And don't get me wrong, it's not like the sound quality was horrible--it just wasn't anything at all special; and for me, I was looking for something a bit more than "passable in a pinch." If that's what you expect from a "value-priced" set of ANC headphones, at least these won't break the bank--as for us, we'll give these to our kid to let her use in the car, but for anything we really CARE about listening to, we'll keep looking for another headset.

JLab makes some surprisingly good audio products for the price. In direct comparison to some higher priced products that provide the same functions you can pick out the fine differences. But, when you take in the price difference, it is something that can easily be considered. These Studio Pro Active Noise Canceling Over-Ear headphones remind me a lot of a different brand that is literally three times the price and I’d rather save that money than pay for the name. When I first started using these JLAB Studio Pro headphones, there were some things about the audio that kind of made me feel “meh” about the sound quality. Especially the loss in bass when the noise canceling was set to high. However, there is a setting that isn’t explained on the box or in the included instructions, but is mentioned in the description. I only came across these directions after installing the JLAB Store and Burn-in Tool and downloading the manual. The 3 custom EQ settings that can be changed by holding the Volume + and - for 3 seconds. You can step between JLAB Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost and they make all the difference. Depending on the ANC mode used, High/Low/Off or Be Aware, the three different EQ modes also sound different. Now the sound is more of what I was looking for. The Active Noise Canceling on it’s own is pretty decent. Without any music playing you can still have a conversation, but any constant sound like fans blowing, motors running are drowned out to a minimal hum. Put in some audio, connected by BlueTooth or included 3.5mm USB-C, with the noise canceling and the world around you is gone. I took these to a pretty good extreme and used them while mowing grass for a couple hours and it made the time blow by while still hearing my music. Of course, this also depends on the specific noise canceling setting, changed by pressing the button on the right ear cup. If you put the ANC into Be Aware Mode, it is doing the opposite of canceling and creating this really strange amplified playback of sounds around you. This is something you may want if using them while out on a trail and need to hear when a bell or horn is used to alert you. It’s really strange when you can hear yourself singing over a song. I really like the design of the ear cups as they are actually ear shaped. It makes their size a little smaller than the typical over-ear headphone while still not pressing on the ear and makes it really obvious which side is which. The headband is padded and easily adjusted. The earcups are only held by a little bit of tension and occasionally needed adjustment after extended wear and movement. All of the controls are on the right side and simplified into 4 buttons that have multiple functions whether pressed, held or double tapped. This included volume control of the connected device and answer/rejecting calls which also sounded pretty clear. The headset also collapses to fit into the included bag for protection during transport. Overall, I am still a fan of JLab's quality for the price point. These are now my go-to headphones for zoning out the world around me.

I’m pretty sure JLAB is asking why we would pay more for headphones when they can offer a solution that comes pretty close to what the competition is offering, at a lower price. And, that is a pretty fair question because the JLAB ANC Studio Pro Wireless Over Ear Headphones deliver everything they have promised. Whether it’s the sound, the comfort or the extended operating time, these are headphones that challenge the notion of “you get what you pay for.” There is NO need to apologize for the price ‘cause I can’t find any place JLAB has made a sacrifice. SETUP: Charge them with the included cable. You’ll need your own USB charger. These JLABs come in a bright blue package that includes a nice black carry bag, the USB charging cable, a direct connection headphone jack and the over-the-ear headphones. No one will confuse your cables for theirs; these are as blue as the package. You’re ready for some music. A very long listening session. The controls are very easy to find on the right ear cup, and there is sufficient finger feel so I could find the volume, ANC, and easily manage PHONE CALLS. Phone calls, by the way, were crisp and the other party had no difficulty hearing me. PERFORMANCE: Way way above their price. I sat for a few hours trying these out on my favs playlist. I listen to all types of music. I had an extended session with John Legend, Emmylou Harris, Billie Eilish, CS&N, Sugar Ray, Amy Winehouse, Majid Jordan, the Weeknd, Foo Fighters, J. Cole, Cardi B, Beirut and others to soak up a range of voices, instruments and beats. I’m not a heavy bass head, but the JLABS had no problem delivering anything at I wanted to hear at any volume I tested. The sound was very natural. There was zero sibilance where you’d expect to hear it, on female voices. There is no unnatural heavyness on male voices. The comfort was exceptional. I didn’t reach up to adjust the headphones for the longest time. They just don’t attract attention to themselves from a comfort perspective. This sitting-on-the-ear design seems to imply I’m sure to miss sound quality, or they’ll be fussy to get properly located, but nothing could be further from my reality. I’m not going to suggest you might bike or run or exercise with these, but normal activities are not awkward, at all. I would comment on battery stamina, but I got bored waiting for them to exhaust themselves. I did find the ANC modestly effective. Whereas the best noise cancellation systems can suck out external sound so completely it’s distracting, the JLABS are more subtle. But, they do reduce background droning of engines and voices, and that’s what I want most. SUMMARY: I’m going to forget how much these cost and simply enjoy them. I don’t know what special sauce JLAB has applied to these JLAB ANC Studio Pro Wireless Over Ear Headphones, but it’s working just fine. I like light-weight headphones, the most natural sounds without coloration or undue emphasis, and the added noise reduction of premium headphones. I guess that makes these a premium headphone for many of us. Like’em a lot.

I have been really impressed by these headphones, and so has my wife—who uses them the most now and claims that they are hers my right of conquest. Oh well, she can have them if she enjoys them so much! Anyway, onto the review. For the price, these are the best Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) over-the-ear headphones I have tried so far. They have two levels of ANC, a high and a low, a “be aware setting” that uses the built-in mics to enhance your awareness of what is around you, and a mode where any electronic noise filtering is turned off and you are just utilizing the normal isolation of the earcups for your listening experience. The high level of ANC, is comparative to my Airpod Pros. While this is not saying a lot considering Airpod Pros do not necessarily have the most incredible ANC, the difference is that these JLab Studio Pros have a reported 43 HOURS of ANC listening time at medium volume, which is far more than the 3-1/2 to 4 hours ANC time I get on my Airpod Pros. For the price of these headphones and the quality of the ANC, I think that I would want to equip my whole family with these on a long flight. Not to mention, it includes a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack that can allow you to plug into the airline’s audio jacks for movies and such. The quality of the audio is middling. There are three EQ settings built in. A balanced, bass boost, and Jlab signature setting. Much to my irritation, the instructions included with these headphones did not tell you how to change between these settings: you need to press the up and down volume buttons at the same time to change between the EQ modes. Of these three, I like the Jlab signature mode the best. These headphones are lacking in bass and treble clarity in general, but that really isn’t a deal-breaker if you are looking into quality ANC headphones at a decent price. Overall, these get a solid recommend from me. I think they would be popular for individuals who travel a lot, like traveling executives and don’t want to risk expensive headphone varieties getting broken or stollen. If you are more active or think these might get wet, JLab makes a variation intended for sports and active users. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy these!

I own a few in-ear and on-ear headphones, and I decided to try over-ear headphones mainly to enjoy listening to my music. The JLabs Studio Pro ANC over-ear headphones were a perfect choice. After a few hours of use, overall it felt like a 4-star device, but after using it for several days, given its features and performance, I’d rate it closer to 5-stars. They are comfortable enough to be used for a couple of hours, with noticeably clear sound coming out of it, making the experience of listening to my favorites tunes enjoyable. The noise cancelling options are great, and given that it covers most of my ears, under “noise cancelling high” mode, the sound is fantastic. + Pros: four noise cancelling modes, good range, crisp and clear sound overall, no mic extension visible. - Cons: gets warm fast. >> Contents << The box comes with: .- The headphones (of course) .- Cloth pouch for holding the device .- USB-C to USB-A cable for charging .- USB-C to 3.5mm audio jack adapter. I’d have prefer something more like a hard case for it instead of the cloth pouch. A nice detail worth highlighting is that it comes with a USB-C to 3.5mm audio jack adapter, in case you need to connect to it an old device or prefer wired connection (wired connection to make sure you are connecting to the right headphones :-) ). >> Construction << I initially didn’t feel like the construction was solid enough, and I disliked the wired style of the side of the headphones, but after having the JLabs Studio Pro over-ear pair take a beating for several days, I think they are sturdy enough. The wired adapters holding the actual headphones make it easy to fold and move the headphones, although visually they are an eye sore. >> Comfort << I have yet to find a device that doesn’t make my earlobes or sides of my head feel uncomfortable. I can use this device with no issues for the first hour or so, but then my ears and side of my head start feeling the effects of the pressure. In addition, it gets very warm, and note that I am a person that prefers warm weather and should feel fine with it, but after a long period of use I end up with the area on my head just under the headphones sweaty. So, if you are one of those people that sweat easily then perhaps an over-ear headphone is not the best choice if you plan on using them for a long period of time. >> Noise cancelling modes << This is the main reason why I am giving this a 5 star as opposed to 4 star, this device has 4 noise cancellation modes: .- Noise cancelling high: almost all ambient sounds gone and no background noise. .- Noise cancelling low: a little more of ambient sound is left in. .- Noise cancelling off: more ambient sound than the previous mode, and it feels like there is some white background noise that gets a little annoying if the music or lecture you are listening has some gaps. .- Be Aware: you can hear the surrounding sounds, so the “be aware” label to this mode. I prefer listening to my favorite tunes with “Noise cancelling high”; however, if I need to hear my surroundings, I can set the device the “be aware” mode. Very versatile in this aspect.

These are comfortable, a good value, and sound good. My JLab Studio Pro ANC Over the Ear Headphones have been really comfortable for extended periods of time. The cushioning on the ear cups sits on my ear well and same with the cushioning above on the headband. The buttons are easy to access and perform well with a click feedback. The price for these is a good value compared to flashier brands with similar ANC technology. Overall the sound is a good balanced sound quality that should make most users happy. Included in the package is the foldable headphones, travel bag, USB Type-C charging cable, 3.5mm AUX IN cable, and the user manual. Everything you need to get up and running right out of the box. Pairing these up to my iPhone XR was fast and easy to do. Once you get the headphones up and running there are a nice set of feature rich options to select from. Volume up and volume down, track forward and track backward, power on/off, play/pause/answer and end calls, reject a call, activate smart assistant (Siri or OK Google). And also included with the right ear cup JLab logo is the ANC toggle button which allows you to cycle through the various options such as ANC off, ANC low, ANC high, and Be Aware. The headphones offer a nice blockage to the outside sound, but it's not perfect. I like the way I can get some noise cancellation from outside distractions and focus on my task at hand. The style is also nice with a tear drop style look, but it still fits well on the ear. The simple black color is classic and perfectly fine with me as I don't need color and flash to get my headphones noticed as a status symbol. You can get 45+ hours of playtime according to JLab. I have used these each day of my work week and they didn't need a charge, so I'm happy about that. The headphones offer a set of 3 custom sound choices such as Bass Boost, Balanced, JLab Signature. The included instruction manual fails to show how that works, but if you go to the online instruction manual you can find those details. PROS: Value Comfort Sound CONS: Buttons can seem clunky

The cups on the earpads are very nice and soft and fits very well on the ears. The Plastics used are of good quality and I think it will stand a few beatings. The Headband has good flex and will fit big head like mine without any creaks. Usage -------- Bluetooth pairing is very quick by pressing the button on the side for 8 seconds and using your phone connecting to the Jlabs headphones. Once connected, subsequent connections are very quick, I was very impressed with the reliable connections. The headphones has volume up/down as well as track skip/back button (Long press volume button). The headphones also support Siri and google voice integration which is a big plus. The headphones have a good balanced sound without overpowering bass or highs. The highs are crisp and the bass is very balanced. I loved the clarity of the headphones. The ANC worked pretty well nullifying my tower fan. I still did not have a chance to take it on a flight but for a budget ANC headphones, I think this works pretty well. The headphones have a rated 45 Hours battery life and I think the real time usage is very close to this number. Many headphones costing much higher have a lower rating on the battery life. The range is about 30 ft and which is plentiful. I liked the fact that they decided to include the Type-C port in this so that you don’t have to carry a micro-usb charging cable. I think overall for the price, this is an excellent value, quality headphones.

I really did like these—at first…after about 5 months, the battery started acting up. It will only hard a charge maybe 2 hours now. Very dissatisfied. Have contacted the company, waiting for a reply still.

I am the biggest JLab fan and these headphones blow it out of the water. The pads are so comfortable. I'm usually pretty sensitive to wearing headphones for extended periods, but the ear pads make it much more accessible for me. I can wear these for 3-4 hours before they bother me. The noise cancelling and Be Aware are flawless as well. And, of course, the sound quality is always fantastic. And the battery life? I wore these for a couple hours every day for almost a month without charging them. I am very impressed by JLab once again and would recommend these to anyone needing a pair of comfortable, every day headphones. As well as those who have sensory processing issues and need a solid pair of noise cancelling headphones.

Honestly, 3.5 because I am waiting to hear back from the company. Comfortable, lightweight. Good NC. Easy controls. Unboxed. Nothing in left ear. Looked up a few solutions, nothing. Tried their apps. Hoping I can fix it so I don't have to go back to the store before I fly out.

Very comfortable. Battery life seems longer than I expected, and charge time was much shorter than I expected when connected to a computer. Noise canceling isn't perfect, but is definitely noticeable.

Bought the first pair when it was on sale. However, unfortunately the left side did not have any sound. Tried to unpair and re-pair to different devices ranging from tablet, phone, and laptop. Nothing works. Contacted customer service of JLab, provided the necessary info and they follow through with their warranty, replacing another set directly from their warehouse in CA. Took another week for shipping to get to the east coast before able to use the headphones fully. In terms of material, the earpads are very comfortable. The ANC works okay, not great. But the bluetooth connects very fast and mostly stable. I would recommend only if it is on sale. Otherwise, the original price does not make it worth it.

These noise canceling headphones do the trick! My daughter is very auditory sensitive and recently we went on vacation and needed a quick solution for unpleasant sounds. They are comfortable to wear, lightweight, have excellent sound protection, they muffle/ quiet sounds nicely but do not completely cancel all sound, and they sound really good with the Bluetooth option to a smart device. These headphones were a lifesaver for our sanity while out of town

Great sound quality and pretty good fit. I'm autistic and found these to be some of the most comfortable while also affordable over ear headphones I've tried. I like that the noise dampening is adjustable, making them suitable for a variety of environments. My only dislike is that one side of the headphones slides more than the other, so they don't stay as tight as I would like.

I have a big head so im shocked it fits me comfortably without risk of it being over extended. My big ears do get clipped at the earlobe part so if you can't handle that I'd look for others, but otherwise this is a wonderful product after dealing with mediocre over ear headphones. The noise cancelling was more than adequate for general background noise. The battery life is absolutely surprising, spent the day without it charging once and it was still giving me medium charge.
