Joachim Fontaine - Iphigenie en Tauride - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Joaquin Rodrigo - Complete Vocal Music - Rodrigo Collection 3 [COMPACT DISCS] With CD-Rom, Boxed Set date 02/28/2012

After the premiere of Oedipus at Colonus in 1881, not much more was heard about Gouvy's opera. Joachim Fontaine examined the score under it's layer of archival mold and spent many years reconstructing it and working toward it's revival. This is the first recording of the opera since it's reconstruction.

Digitally remastered edition of this 1965 album from the legendary Jazz saxophonist.
