Joe Bonamassa - Royal Tea - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2014 album from the Grammy-nominated guitar superstar. DIFFERENT SHADES OF BLUE is his first studio album since 2012 and the first album of his career to feature all original material. The result is a record with more of an experimental edge than previous Bonamassa records. It's a Blues record that explores the outer reaches and the many different sounds that shape the genre. 'It's been a while since I've been involved in the writing on an entire album. So I decided I wanted to make a completely original Blues album,' said Bonamassa. 'I've really had to push myself to make everything I do better than the last project. I know the fans expect it. And I feel like I owe it to the fans to give them an original record after all these years.'

Blues-rock legend Joe Bonamassa is back with a 2021 studio album, Time Clocks. Produced by Kevin Shirley and recorded in NYC in March 2021, Joe aimed to record some of the best material he has ever written. Bonamassa introduces elements of prog and hard rock to intensify his signature blues-rock style. Joe's co-writers on this record include Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), James House and Tom Hambridge who help elevate the storytelling to a whole new level.

If Massenet is best-known as the champion of French opera, his contribution to the genre of the mélodie merits reassessment - as is demonstrated by this programme of exquisitely orchestrated songs, all of which have remained in manuscript form. The Expressions lyriques form the pinnacle of these experiments, blending speech and song. The cycle Chansons des bois d'Amaranthe is also notable for the originality of it's scoring a quartet of singers in dialogue with an orchestra animated by a voluble piano part.
