The late, great John Denver's first four albums for RCA Records, dating from 1969, '70 and '71. He had tasted success as the writer of 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' which was a huge hit for Peter, Paul & Mary, but recording-wise albums and 45s he made for various labels failed to chart. Rhymes & Reasons' made the US Top 200 Albums chart and was a Top 30 album in the UK. The following two albums had limited commercial impact, but the single 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' was a US No. 2 and a Canadian No. 3; taken from 'Poems, Prayers & Promises', the album took off, making both the US and UK Top 20 Albums charts. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes Album Tracks 1. The Love of the Common People 2. Catch Another Butterfly 3. Daydream 4. The Ballad of Spiro Agnew 5. Circus 6.
