About This Item

John's songs are filled with haunting melodies, soaring harmonies, exquisite guitars, and thoughtful lyrics with a rock sensibility. John describes his musical style as existential blues. A great part of John's focus since the age of 16 has been on music. It has led him through everything from garage bands to recording albums with other professionals, as well as producing a CD in 1992 entitled Facing West, which received substantial air play in several major markets, including Dallas and Washington D.C. In his involvement with Inland Empire Songwriter's Association and Southern California Songwriter's Association, John has displayed a special gift. That gift is the instinct and the sensitivity to listen and relate to other musicians, plus the willingness to give them time and to use his talent in order to enhance their work. John's talent has been recognized by well-known Christian rock artist Bob Vogel, who says, 'John McGill is a very talented musician, and his creative music has been a blessing and encouragement to me and many others.' Bob Harvey, one of the founding members of Jefferson Airplane states, 'John is as fine a lead guitarist as I've ever played with, plus a highly talented singer songwriter. Both musically and professionally, John stands head and shoulders above his contemporaries.' Both the musicians who have worked with him and the audiences, who've listened, know that John McGill will be one of the finer contributors to the music of the new millennium. Album Tracks 1. Na Na Na 2. If I Could Only Remember 3. The Hound of Heaven 4. Surf Is the Cure 5. The Highways and the Hills 6. Sally's Birthday 7. The Market 8. Popcorn 9. Two-Ten 10. The Vineyard
