Jonathan Y - Wyatt 9.5" Pharmacy Metal/Glass LED Pendant - Chrome

Industrial design modernized for today's homes, this single light globe pendant brings a feel of minimalism to kitchens, dining rooms, and any other space that could use a little extra light. Its canopy and shade holder are crafted from metal, while the spherical glass shade suspends, almost weightlessly, above kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and beyond. It looks fabulous as an accent piece, or hung in multiples.

With a gracious curve to the glass shade, high polish on the hardware, and a visible bulb, this classic pendant reinforces that the simplest things can be the most beautiful. With an adjustable drop, it can also look semi-custom, adjusting to your ceiling height. And with the wide bottom opening, bulbs are easily replaced, making it great for highly trafficked areas like kitchens and foyers.

Though originally used in pharmacies because of their simple upkeep -- the glass is simple to dust, bulbs easily changed from removing the shade from below -- this pendant's silhouette is perhaps most famously known by students of the 1950s as "the schoolhouse pendant" thanks to a large government order that made this the official light of chemistry labs until the mid-70s when fluorescents were installed (forgive them!). We took inspiration from the original -- gracious curves, simple upkeep, and adjustable drop -- because if there is one thing we have learned, it's that great design never goes out of style.
