Journey To The Center Of The Earth (1993) - DVD

The first film-noir directed by legendary filmmaker Anthony Mann (T-Men, the Naked Spur) a Marine sergeant (William Terry) stationed overseas falls in love with a woman only through correspondence. On the train back home, he meets a beautiful young doctor (Virginia Grey) who's starting a new practice in the same small town. Once in town, he finds his pen pal's place of residence, but to his surprise he only finds the girl's mother (Helen Thimig) living at the old mansion with her servant (Edith Barrett) - the old woman informs him that her daughter has gone away and will return shortly, but asks him to stay at the mansion until her return. This gothic and haunting mystery in the tradition of Hitchcock's Rebecca was beautifully shot Reggie Lanning (HOODLUM EMPIRE).

National Geographic presents the first nonstop voyage from Earth to the edge of the universe. Created with a single, unbroken shot using spectacular CGI technology, building on images taken from the Hubble Space Telescope, this epic voyage across the cosmos takes us from Earth, past the Moon and our neighboring planets, out of our solar system, to the nearest stars, nebulae and galaxies, and beyond right to the edge of the universe itself. Journey to the Edge of the Universe explores the science and history behind our solar system's distant celestial bodies.

Cult comic-book artist Holden (Ben Affleck) falls head-over-heals with fellow artist Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adams), but for that love to live, he'll need to contend with her disapproval of his best friend Banky (Jason Lee), her sexuality, and his own misgivings about himself. From award-winning writer/director Kevin Smith, CHASING AMY offers a thoughtful, funny look at how perceptions alter lives, and how obsession and self-doubt skew reality.
