Double vinyl LP pressing. Despite an incredibly short recording career Joy Division remarkably have stood the test of time in terms of influential British bands. Their dark, brooding sound has inspired more artists than could be listed and their continued adoration today is testament to the forward thinking yet inward projected music and lyricism of a young band on the brink of success yet unsure of how to deal with it. With the sad passing of Ian Curtis, from the ashes rose New Order; the same core band but with a new fresh approach to their chosen career path. Loud, colorful and full of life. Album Tracks 1. Vinyl LP pressing released to coincide with the album's 25th Anniversary. Spawning the hits 'Hey Jealousy', 'Until I Fall Away', 'Found Out About You' and 'Allison Road' - New Miserable Experience is the breakthrough album by Gin Blossoms, released on August 4, 1992. The album was released to little fanfare. However, nearly a year after it's the lead single, InchHey JealousyInch, entered the top 40, with InchFound Out About YouInch following a few months later. The album eventually reached multi-platinum status. The band's guitarist, Doug Hopkins, was fired near the conclusion of the recording sessions for the album, ostensibly for his persistent alcohol problems. His replacement, Scott Johnson, is listed as a member of the band in the liner notes, but did not play on the album. The band's hugely successful second compilation released in 1994, The Best Of New Order features 7Inch mixes of the band's classic hits from 1985 onwards, plus four new '94 mixes. The accompanying remix album The Rest Of New Order was released the following year in 1995 led by Blue Monday-95, a remix by Hardfloor. Both albums reached the top5 of UK albums charts and featured all the band's iconic tracks including 'True Faith', 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'Blue Monday 88, 'Regret' and 'World in Motion'. It took four years for The Lumineers to follow up their platinum-plus self-titled debut - which spent 46 weeks on the Billboard 200 and peaked at #2 - but Cleopatra is well worth the wait. During that time, The Lumineers - whose original members Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites founded the band in Ramsey, New Jersey back in 2002 - earned a pair of Grammy nominations (Best New Artist, Best Americana Album). Cleopatra proves Schultz and Fraites - along with cellist/vocalist Neyla Pekarek- are neither taking their good fortune for granted, nor sitting back on their laurels. With the help of producer Simone Felice (The Felice Brothers, The Avett Brothers), the man Wesley calls Inchour shaman,Inch the band ensconced themselves in Clubhouse, a recording studio high atop a hill in rural Rhinebeck, N.Y., not far from Woodstock.
