Sometimes we just want to smack teenagers and say "wake up!!" Be respectful! This movie, however, you want to really feel for them and save them!! The plot, story, and psycho truck driver and teen characters are excellent parts of the movie!

Kind of modern version of Spielberg's Duel, only with the menacing trucker having a name and a mean streak a mile long! Walker, Zahn and Sobieski play the trio of friends tormented by "Rusty Nail"

Great movie even if you don't like horror movies. Paul Walker has tons of moles on his face in this movie. I wonder if they're fake.

Good movie at good price. The definition is good enough for a 50” tv.

What makes Joy Ride scary is its believability, this kind of thing can actually happen, probably not to the extreme as portrayed in the film, but people do play jokes on each other constantly, and some do get carried away. Composed of a relatively young cast, Steve Zahn (Fuller Thomas,) Paul Walker (Lewis Thomas) and Leelee Sobieski (Venna) did a good job keeping the audiences attention glued to the screen, the pacing was actually well done because there was not a dull moment on this road trip. Unfortunately, with this genre there is usually little character development, which is true for Joy Ride, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing here. Joy Ride was an entertaining and short movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, the direction was tight and the script was decent, it's a great film for adults and teenager alike. Just remember, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and do unto others as you would have them done to you.

A really neat almost slasher type movie. Good and unique.

Better than average killer on the road noir. Well rounded extras add to the value.

Arriving just before "Horror" returned to the cinema for the 21st century, JOY RIDE certainly fits that description, while still living within the defined rules of a "thriller". Fun performances from the 3 leads, good pacing & an easy-to-get-into story from J.J. Abrams puts this on a must-watch list for modern horror enthusiasts. Add an awesome and uncredited vocal presence from Ted (Buffalo Bill) Levine & you know it's worthwhile. Great & cheap HD addition to the chiller/thriller home library.

Very entertaining and suspenseful movie from the early 2000s. It is very much a product of its time. The acting isn't great, but that is not uncommon for movies like this. Great premise, memorable characters (especially the villain, Rusty Nail, even though he is mostly unseen). Blu-ray quality is only ok, but still better than dvd. The alternate endings included are worth a watch, including a very long one that replaces the whole last third of the movie.

This movie is kinda a guilty pleasure, I've always liked this movie I really like the cast, I know Paul walker wasn't the worlds greatest actor but Most of the time like his movies. i like Steve zahns character also. This movie has a great feel to it. I do think when leelee Sobieski character is picked up towards the middle of the movie it kinda goes downhill from there, but overall I'd get it a B.

I watched this movie years ago when I was just a kid. I loved it then and I still love it now. I'll just put it this way... If I see a movie when I'm 9 years old and remembered it to purchase it when I'm 25 then it was awesome! This movie is definitely suspenseful and make you wonder what's coming next. My kind of movie for sure! I hope whoever decides to purchase this movie will enjoy it as much as I did.

Discovered this little gem the other day. Surprised I have not seen it before. Paul Walker is excellent in a film that is your typical Sunday afternoon suspense/horror film. Nothing new or noteworthy in terms of plot, but the film is definitely entertaining. Good production value, good acting, and good pacing of the story.

Joyride is a movie that is better than you expect it to be, and better than it probably, thanks to great casting and a smart script co-written by JJ Abrams. Commentaries and deleted scenes are very informative, as they show the rather extensive changes made to the movie between the first draft and the final cut.

The first and best in the series. The only one that can be considered a real movie out of the three. Probably not for everyone but it's one of those movies that makes you stop and think about the decisions we make in life and where they take us.

This movie was unbelievable (in an extremely good way). It reminded me of Steven Spielberg's early TV movie "Duel" with Dennis Weaver. See it just for a young Paul Walker (swoon). The acting is great and quite funny in the beginning - but beware it turns deadly. I highly, highly recommend this movie.

Pretty good movie. Some interesting plot twists. Not great, but probably worth a watch for most movie fans. Very reasonable price too!

Sound effects, visually, and score were great. In the tradition of Duel and The Hitcher! Pace was well received and it has Steve Zahn, he's hilarious! The late Paul Walker is engaging as the side kick. Fun film!
