Julie London - About The Blues + 4 Bonus Tracks - VINYL LP

180-Gram Virgin Vinyl Limited Edition of 1000 copies. Both a successful singer and actress, Julie London was a truly legendary figure. While her work as an actress would precede and have greater longevity than her career as a vocalist, it wasn't until she released her debut album Julie Is Her Name, that London truly became a household name. No one could have imagined the album's success considering that it was the first LP of a still relatively unknown singer, and only featured guitar and bass accompaniment (even if the guitar player was such an important jazz star as Barney Kessel). 180-gram VIRGIN VINYL LIMITED EDITION of 1000 COPIES. The Complete Album + 4 Bonus Tracks.

High-definition premium 180gm vinyl pressing of this classic Jazz album. Jazz Wax Records. 2010.

The most sensual singer in the history of jazz, Julie London's risqué album covers were as much a part of her legend as her sultry and husky vocals. As many of her albums, London by Night puts together songs that tell a story. The standards and original tunes on the disc are strung together in such a way that they form a narrative of a lovelorn woman finding true love, getting dumped, and wandering around sadly until finding romantic redemption in the final song.
