It's a fine head unit. The colors are nice. Plenty of pre-outs for whatever you need. My only complaints are the daylight brightness. You can forget about reading what's on the screen at high noon. But the (albeit mediocre) JVC remote app helps a bit with that. Second complaint is that the head unit will only display actual metadata of audio files via USB. Meaning that if you haven't actually updated the and only have the file titled, the head unit will just display a number instead of track name. Also, it doesn't allow you to see names of folders when browsing through USB which is kind of a bummer. Other than those couple of minor gripes, the head unit is great.

Liking it so far. Used the recommended install kit. Seems to get good AM reception which I like because I listen to local radio stations. The controls are easy to learn and I like the clock can set itself somehow though the FM band. Best Buy had a great price and I was able to look at it and try the buttons before buying. I BIG volume knob is a great feature too. Push it in and it mutes the sound. Overall, excellent design and looks great.

Has all the features you'd expect for the price but it does it darn well and looks good doing it. This purchase was for my ex-girlfriend's daughter's Christmas gift. I myself installed it. It was easy. But i liked it so nuch, I bought a second one for myself.

Purchases unit as an open box unit. Unfortunately everything was not in the box but I was able to install it. Anyhow. Everything works as described. Great little head unit, the main feature I was looking for was the crossover feature because I didn't want to blow my stock speakers when I turned it up. This head unit was just to upgrade my stock unit because it was going wacky. Love that I have the option of adding a sub or an amplifier for mids and highs. The only downfall is that the LED light during the day is poor. So trying to navigate your stereo through the menus is difficult. During a bright sunny day. At night it's fine. Perfect. I thought it was in the settings that I could probably turn it up but everything was turned up as far as I could find and it's just not bright at all. To me that was not a deal breaker because most of the time it's a Bluetooth mode and all my settings have been already set. Would I buy this again? I can imagine some people saying no because of the LED issue, but for the price I think it's worth it. Audio qualities great! Bluetooth works great. I think you can figure out the LED brightness issue. The stereo would be five star easily.

I saw some reviews about it being to dark in the day time, but it's not really much of a problem. it's still pretty visible to me, I like the color options and all the controls you have.

I love it. I'm not tech savvy and it's easy for me to use. Like the color display and it sounds great. It was very affordable. If you want less distractions, no touch screen, this is a great option.

I’m old school and as nice as the touch screen, DVD and navigation decks are I prefer to keep it simple. Let me control my sub outputs, crossovers, and high and low pass filters let it wang. This deck has all I need and I’m 100% satisfied with it.

Got a super great deal on this unit.. sound quality is good.. and I didn't expect to get this for $39.00 . It was a steal.. Good looking out best buy ...

This unit does everything I wanted it to and is very easy to use. The installer did a great job of setting up all my connections as well and the interfaces are working very well.

Hard to see screen during the day when sunny. Unit resets the date every morning to Jan 1st.

Nice radio but having issues with the power cutting on and off with the car and can't seem to get best buy to help.

Replaced a JVC car stereo with this JVC unit and it's just as good. I only use it to play back music files and so far no problem reading any of them. The only negative is during the day you cannot see anything on this player.
