About this product

Art of Propaganda is proud to present Karg's highly anticipated fifth album, Weltenasche. For a decade now, this Austrian entity has been crafting awe-inspiring ambient-oriented black metal, and Weltenasche is Karg's most daring and defiant record yet, guaranteed to simultaneously satisfy and antagonize black metal purists as well as lure a wide swath of extreme-music listeners. At long last, we have Karg's fifth album, Weltenasche the conclusion of all the albums and songs recorded until now. Weltenasche is the first Karg opus which is lyrically completely performed in the dialect J.J. grew up with and which is spoken around the mountains of his hometown. Although highly influenced by post-rock and hardcore, Weltenasche is still a black metal record at heart - even though it's far from what purists would call black metal. But Karg has always been a band of individualists, for individualists, and always will be; not for nothing is J.J. also a member of iconoclastic critically acclaimed labelmates Harakiri For the Sky. Take flight and descend with Karg's Weltenasche, across infinity and beyond, where rules are discarded and only the strength of the spirit rules supreme Album Tracks 1. Crevasse 2. Alles Wird in Flammen Stehen 3. Le Couloir Des Ombres 4. Tor Zu Tausend Wüsten 5. Spuren Im Schnee 6. Solange Das Herz SCHLÄGT 7. ... Und Blicke Doch Mit Wut Zurück 8. (Mmxvi/Weltenasche)

Karg - Dornenvögel / Project of the Harakiri for the sky vocalist! For InchDornenvögelInch mastermind J.J. (vocalist of Harakiri for the sky) invited a lot of guest musicians from Lunar Aurora, Downfall of Gaia, Ellende, Ancst, Amer, fut and Instant Karma to participate with guest vocals on the album. It is for sure the most diverse album that Karg wrote till date. It's a steady up and down of negative and melancholic feelings and short glimpses of hope, recited in a quite hysteric way. Every song is a separate, private, Dornenvogel' (which is a metaphor in this connection) to Karg, every song treats a different chapter. That's why the album is called, Dornenvögel'. A collection of dramas, one followed by the other.Inch Karg was founded back in the summer of 2006 as a one-man project. Between 2010 & 2014 Karg was fully formed as a band to play gigs, formally in Germany, Austria and Central Europe. In the years till 2018 Karg was, like in it's beginning, held as a one-man project and released two more albums. With the of Karg's sixth studio album InchDornenvögelInch Karg will celebrate it's rebirth as a live band for a few special dates in 2018 & 2019. The musical style of Karg is a furious, hysteric mixture of Atmospheric Black Metal and a huge load of Post Rock, with influences also from Grunge, Shoegaze and Post Punk. The influences from other genres than Black Metal evolved more and more within the last few years but were there in abridged form since day one. Textual Karg always was about the more melancholic side of life, such as broken relationships, lost love, estrangement, drug abuse, loss or suicide thoughts and depression. In contrast to many other bands Karg's lyrics are as equal important than it's music is. Album Tracks 1. Drangsal 2. La Tristesse Durera Toujours 3. Petrichor 4. L'appel Du Vide 5. Meine Freiheit War Ihr Tod 6. F 19.5 7.
